Overview:

The Ironstream SE is responsible for enabling customers to integrate IBM i and IBM Z operational data into observability platforms like Splunk, Big Panda, Grafana, Datadog, and ServiceNow. The role bridges legacy infrastructure with distributed IT systems, helping customers unlock insights from IBM large system data without requiring deep platform expertise.

What you will do:

Customer Enablement & Presentations

  • Ability to listen and understand the specific prospect requirements and how Precisely can provide positive business outcomes
  • Deliver introductory and deep-dive presentations on Ironstream capabilities, tailored to customer environments
  • Lead demos and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions to accelerate customer confidence and adoption

Technical Integration & Configuration

  • Configure Ironstream hubs and agents to collect logs, metrics, and audit data from IBM i and Z systems
  • Normalize and filter data for ingestion into observability platforms using the Ironstream Hub
  • Support ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management integrations, including MID server setup and CI population

Platform Expertise

  • Guide customers through Ironstream’s compatibility with:
    • Splunk
    • Grafana
    • Datadog
    • Big Panda
    • ServiceNow

Data Strategy & Dashboarding

  • Understanding customer needs and developing customized demo environments to demonstrate the Ironstream solution selling
  • Assist in replicating and customizing starter pack dashboards for performance, security, and application health monitoring
  • Map IBM i data objects (e.g., journals, message queues, job logs) to business processes for observability

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with account executives, product managers, and customer success teams to align technical delivery with business goals
  • Provide starter packs, data files, and configuration guidance for lab environments and partner engagements

What we are looking for:

  • Strong understanding of IBM i and IBM Z environments.
  • Experience with observability platforms (Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, ServiceNow).
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-mainframe audiences.
  • Familiarity with Ironstream configuration, filtering, and deployment options.
  • Comfort leading customer-facing engagements involving multiple teams using remote implementation skills
