Today's threatscape is relentless. So are we. At Cyderes, we build practical Identity & Access Management (IAM), Exposure Management, and risk programs, helping organizations stop active threats fast with Managed Detection & Response (MDR) that integrates with existing tools. Powering it all is Meridian, our entity fabric that connects identities, assets, and access into one trusted reality. Augmented by AI and driven by experienced operators, our tireless global team arms organizations with the people, platforms, and perspectives they need to conquer whatever tomorrow throws their way.
You will lead the move from a general-purpose work-management backend to a purpose-built case platform, own the case lifecycle and data model end to end, and partner deeply with Engineering, SOC leadership, Threat Research, Customer Success, and UX. As a Principal, you will also mentor other Product Managers and help raise the bar for product thinking across the organization, without direct people management responsibility.
Who you are:
You are a security superfan who knows what a SOC shift feels like from the inside. You have seen what happens when the system of record gets in the analyst’s way, and you want to fix it for good. You can go deep with engineers on data models and migration plans in the morning and walk an executive through the tradeoffs in the afternoon. You are analytical and hands-on, and you measure yourself by the outcomes your analysts and customers get.
Responsibilities:
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the end-to-end security case lifecycle, from signal intake and triage through investigation, response, customer communication, closure, and learning.
- Lead the migration to a purpose-built case platform, including sequencing, data migration, parallel running, and a cutover plan that never interrupts 24/7 service delivery.
- Drive the build, buy, or extend decision for the case platform with Engineering and Architecture, weighing cost, time to value, migration risk, and long-term fit.
- Define the case data model and the record each case keeps of evidence, entities, timelines, actions, approvals, and outcomes, so what we learn in one investigation improves the next.
- Own two-way case synchronization with customers’ ticketing and IT service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management), along with notification and escalation paths.
- Treat case performance as a customer-facing measure of quality: set targets, measure them, and hold the platform to them.
- Shape where AI takes the first pass on a case and how analyst feedback reaches it, while preserving explainability, permissions, human judgment, and safe fallback paths.
- Spend meaningful time with SOC analysts, incident leaders, service-delivery teams, and customers to understand workflow friction and decision needs.
- Write clear, actionable product requirements and success metrics covering analyst effort, time to decision, case quality, and adoption.
- Partner with UX to design an investigation experience that brings evidence, context, collaboration, and response actions into one place.
- Work closely with Alliances and Engineering on integrations with key security partners (e.g., Microsoft Security, CrowdStrike, Google Security, Palo Alto, Splunk).
- Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing on launches, customer migrations, demos, and roadmap conversations.
- Mentor and support other Product Managers through best practices, reviews, and informal leadership.
- Influence leadership decisions through data, insight, and strong product narratives.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management, with experience owning complex platforms, workflow systems, or services.
- Proven experience leading a migration off a legacy system of record with live users, including data migration and cutover, without a service outage.
- Strong background in case management, incident management, IT service management, or security operations tooling.
- Direct exposure to SOC operations, incident response, or detection and response workflows at an MDR, MSSP, or enterprise security team.
- Ability to work deeply with Engineering on data models, APIs, event-driven synchronization, permissions, multi-tenancy, reliability, and performance.
- Experience designing or shipping human-in-the-loop automation or AI-assisted workflows.
- Strong understanding of enterprise B2B customers and managed services models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence without authority at senior and executive levels.
