Who we are

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.

Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to drive vision for Samsara’s web experiences.

Samsara’s web dashboard is the primary interface through which our customers interact with their connected operations data. We are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead vision and execution for our core Web Experience—the foundational layer that enables all of Samsara’s product lines to deliver seamless workflows across our dashboard that unlock customer value.

You will join the Platform team and drive innovative new features. You’ll set the bar for how tens of thousands of users experience Samsara daily, and identify cross-cutting improvements across the dashboard. In this highly cross-functional role, you’ll partner closely with Design, Engineering, and downstream product teams to ensure Samsara’s interface scales with our rapidly growing customer base and product portfolio.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US.

You should apply if:

  • You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
  • You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
  • You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
  • You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-caliber team that will encourage you to do your best.
In this role, you will:
  • Own the vision and roadmap for Samsara’s web experience platform, including the overview page, customer communication channels like our notification center, navigation, search, and platform-wide interaction patterns.
  • Champion user-centered thinking and craft elegant, highly usable solutions for complex workflows across Samsara’s diverse product portfolio.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Design, and downstream product teams to ensure consistency, performance, and usability across all surfaces.
  • Deliver platform-wide impact, by identifying opportunities for higher builder velocity.
  • Drive strategic decisions on technical architecture in partnership with Engineering and Design leadership to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability.
  • Measure and improve performance, usability, and customer satisfaction through both quantitative metrics and qualitative research.
  • Act as a design partner and systems thinker, helping evolve Samsara’s design system and ensuring our brand voice translates into usable, delightful product experiences.
  • Collaborate with customer-facing teams to understand key pain points, support strategic accounts, and bring user insights into roadmap prioritization.
  • Mentor and coach other PMs and cross-functional collaborators to elevate product quality and execution across the organization.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management or related roles, including 2+ years at the Staff or Principal level.
  • Proven success leading complex cross-functional initiatives that span multiple surfaces or product lines.
  • Exceptional product sense with a strong track record of delivering user-centric, elegant, performant UI/UX.
  • Strong technical fluency—you can engage deeply with engineers on architecture decisions and trade-offs.
  • Experience owning platform-level or cross-cutting surface areas like navigation systems, design systems, or accessibility frameworks.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in ambiguous environments and drive alignment across senior leaders.
  • Clear, persuasive communicator who can effectively collaborate with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or design-related field.

An ideal candidate also has:

  • Experience at design- and UX-forward SaaS companies.
  • Experience evolving or owning a large-scale design system.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive UI, and performance optimization.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or platform teams serving internal product developers.
  • MBA or graduate degree in a relevant technical field.
