The Federal HCM Core Product Management team at Workday develops cutting-edge software empowering federal agencies to manage human resources effectively. About the Role

This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native).

As a seasoned Principal Product Manager for Federal HR Solutions, you will be the subject matter authority in U.S. Federal Human Resources, guiding our product roadmap and collaborating closely with customers and scrum teams. Working with Workday’s Industry Strategy team and oCHRO Product Management leadership, you will serve as the voice of the customer for product areas spanning Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, Time & Scheduling, Recruiting, Payroll and other Talent Management areas. Partnering with other Workday functional and technical product authorities, you will set priorities and create detailed requirements documentation.

About You

You are a highly qualified Principal Product Manager or Subject Matter Authority with a track record in the federal HR domain. A strategic problem solver, you are passionate about building products and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical partners, you are a self-starter with excellent communication and presentation abilities, adept at navigating the complexities of the federal government. You are a recognized domain expert, capable of coaching others on the impact of proposed functionality. You excel at facilitating cross-functional collaboration, ensuring all voices are heard, and managing sophisticated group dynamics. You build consensus and alignment, effectively advocating for ideas and tailoring your communication to diverse audiences. You are a trusted manager of product work, consistently removing obstacles, following procedures, and demonstrating accountability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the U.S. Federal market

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management or related experience.

  • This position requires a TS/SCI with CI POLY security clearance. Applicants must already possess a valid and active TS/SCI with CI POLY security clearance.

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience with federal HR systems currently offered by Shared Service Providers (e.g., , HR Connect, EmpowHR, FPPS)

  • 5+ years of experience with HCM and Payroll products (HCM Core, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting)

  • Knowledge of Title V, OPM Regulations, DOD Requirements, GPPA, and the Human Capital Business Reference Model and Human Capital Information Model

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

  • Demonstrated ability to translate sophisticated HR requirements into actionable product specifications

  • Experience presenting to executive audiences including the federal government agencies

  • Knowledge of unique human capital business practices in the intelligence community

  • Skilled in time, priority, and task management

  • Ability to anticipate problems, resolve ambiguity, and take decisive action

  • Self starter and leader that can get things done within a cross functional matrixed environment and be accountable for getting things done


Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $182,300 USD - $273,400 USD


 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $164,900 USD - $288,000 USD
