Company Overview

Founded in 2015, Phil is a Series D health-tech startup building a platform that interfaces between doctors, pharmacies, and patients to streamline the prescription process. This is a complex, archaic industry—and we’ve set out to change that.

Phil’s B2B2C platform provides an end-to-end prescription management and delivery service. Our robust platform connects patients, prescribers, pharmacies, and manufacturers, enabling easier, more affordable access to medicine. Through digital stakeholder experiences, patient access services, market access solutions, and distribution models, pharma manufacturers can deliver timely therapy access to patients, resulting in more patients staying on treatment longer. This drives better patient outcomes and greater innovation.

Position Overview

Phil is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our provider and manufacturer experiences. You will own the strategy for products that shape how prescribers and pharma partners engage with our platform, driving adoption, access, and adherence at scale. This role demands strong external stakeholder management, deep user empathy, and the ability to translate complex workflows into intuitive, high-impact solutions. As a principal-level leader, you’ll partner with executives, cross-functional teams, and external clients to deliver products that improve patient outcomes while advancing Phil’s growth.

Responsibilities

  • Define & lead strategy for provider and manufacturer product lines, aligning roadmaps with business objectives and external stakeholder needs.

  • Engage directly with external partners (pharma manufacturers, prescribers, provider groups) to identify unmet needs, co-create solutions, and ensure adoption.

  • Own the end-to-end user experience for providers and manufacturers, using empathy mapping, journey mapping, and qualitative research to inform product design.

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (Engineering, Design, Data, Solutions Architecture, Client Success) to deliver solutions that scale across B2B and B2C channels.

  • Build platform capabilities that streamline onboarding, enable deeper manufacturer-prescriber engagement, and unlock measurable value for patients and partners.

  • Translate user and stakeholder insights into product requirements that balance experience, operational feasibility, and business outcomes.

  • Define success metrics and ensure accountability through clear adoption, retention, and engagement KPIs.

  • Act as a thought leader across the organization, advocating for user-centric design and stakeholder partnership in every product decision.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience in a software environment, with at least 3+ years in a principal capacity leading external-facing products.

  • Proven track record of external stakeholder management—engaging with clients, partners, or enterprise customers at a senior level.

  • Strong expertise in user research, journey mapping, and empathy-driven design, with demonstrated success turning insights into successful products.

  • Experience managing complex workflows and high-stakes platforms that balance multiple stakeholder needs.

  • Ability to communicate product strategy to executives and external partners with clarity and influence.

  • Fluency with metrics-driven product management and demonstrated ability to tie product outcomes to business value.

  • Technical fluency; comfortable collaborating with engineers on trade-offs and system design.

  • Healthcare or other highly regulated industry experience preferred, but not required.

Benefits
  • Ground-floor opportunity with one of the fastest-growing healthtech startups

  • Full benefits (medical, dental, vision)

  • 401(k) contribution opportunity

  • Work that directly improves patient access to life-changing therapies

  • A culture of mission-driven, collaborative, and innovative people
