Summary

Guidewire is a market leader in providing core software solutions to the global property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry. We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial product manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing two existing, flagship applications - Guidewire Compare™ and Guidewire Canvas™ - and leading the ideation, development, and launch of a new, greenfield application for exposure management. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new product from the ground up, tackling complex, uncertain challenges with a strong emphasis on geospatial data and analytics.

Job Description

What You'll Do
  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and execute the product vision and strategy for Guidewire’s analytics application suite. This includes identifying market opportunities, deeply understanding customer needs in the P&C insurance space, and translating these insights into a compelling product roadmap.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Manage the entire product lifecycle for Compare and Canvas, ensuring their continued relevance and value. For the new exposure management application, you will lead the discovery, design, and development, ensuring it meets market demands and integrates seamlessly with our platform.

  • Geospatial & Data Expertise: Leverage your experience in geospatial tooling and data to build a product that provides insurers with a comprehensive, visual understanding of their risk. You'll work with engineering teams to integrate and visualize data from various sources (e.g., geocoding, building footprints, hazard data) to create powerful insights.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. You will partner closely with Engineering, UX/UI Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of products, navigating and aligning diverse stakeholder perspectives.

  • Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in the P&C insurance and geospatial technology sectors. Use your insights to validate product decisions and identify new opportunities for growth.

  • Product Evangelism: Act as an internal and external champion for your products, presenting to customers and prospects, speaking at industry events, and training internal teams on new features and capabilities.

What You'll Bring
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a B2B SaaS environment, preferably in the Insurtech, geospatial, or financial services industries.

  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the P&C insurance industry is required, including key concepts such as underwriting, claims, reinsurance, and cat management. A proven track record in geospatial data and tooling is essential, with a clear understanding of how it's used for risk analysis and exposure management.

  • Builder's Mindset: You are a builder at heart and thrive in uncertain situations. You possess a strong ability to break down complex problems, relentlessly overcome obstacles, identify user needs, and create innovative, elegant solutions from scratch.

  • Relentless Curiosity: You have an insatiable desire to understand how things work and how they can be made better.  You constantly seek out customers and prospects to solicit feedback to satiate this curiosity.
