About the RoleThe Principal Enterprise Architect ensures that developed or modified application components align with the business solution and enterprise architecture, meeting solution performance goals. This role involves undertaking detailed design work in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the overall enterprise architecture and developing high-level and functional design documents. The Principal Enterprise Architect will play a critical role in shaping the technology strategy and ensuring the successful implementation of software solutions.The key responsibilities for this role include leading the design and implementation of TS/SCI systems while ensuring strict compliance with all security and regulatory standards. This involves developing and maintaining an enterprise architecture roadmap that aligns with mission objectives and integrates emerging technologies. The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership, government stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define system requirements and architecture strategies. Additionally, it includes overseeing the integration of cloud platforms, microservices, and enterprise tools into classified environments, ensuring that all solutions meet rigorous security, scalability, and performance requirements. Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for classified systems architecture, the role provides guidance on security frameworks such as RMF and ICD 503. Minimum Qualifications:Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (Master’s degree preferred).
12+ years of related experience, including hands-on architecture for enterprise-level systems.
In-depth knowledge of classified systems and TS/SCI environments, including security compliance standards (e.g., NIST, RMF, ICD 503).
Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient software solutions.
Demonstrated experience leading the end-to-end architecture of software systems, including system integration and lifecycle management.
Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including networks, storage, and virtualization.
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Cloud for Government).
Expertise in microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) within secure environments.
Proven track record of implementing enterprise integration patterns and tools in classified or highly regulated environments.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including government agencies.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple high-priority initiatives.
Certification in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, DoDAF, or equivalent).
Experience leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives with a focus on security, scalability, and performance.
Strong understanding of zero-trust architectures and cybersecurity principles.
Proven ability to mentor and develop junior architects and technical teams.
Compensation:
Pay Range:
$158,785.00 - $218,350.00Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
