The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with sales, solutions, go-to-market teams, product management, and partners to accelerate strategic selling efforts for prioritized accounts. A key aspect of this role is to help define the future of work as Salesforce customers adopt data excellence and AI-driven solutions into their business operations.

  • Building customer architectures on Salesforce’s deeply unified platform leveraging Agentforce and Data Cloud
  • Guiding customers through digital transformation initiatives
  • Creating innovative architectures that leverage Salesforce's latest capabilities

Your Responsibilities

  • Customer-Centric Expertise: Engage with clients as a Salesforce Customer 360 architecture expert. Leverage your understanding to craft architectures that meet your customer’s unique needs and long-term business goals. Act as a trusted pre-sales advisor—facilitating discovery sessions, whiteboarding solution concepts, and leading architecture visioning. Travel to customer engagements is around 30%.
  • Technical Leadership: Harness your broad knowledge in applications, systems, AI, data, integration, security, cloud computing, analytics, and process automation to guide clients through their transformational journeys. Determine which Salesforce technologies to leverage in a customer's architecture landscape. Guide the alignment between current state and future vision using Salesforce EA methodologies and frameworks.
  • Innovative Solutions: Determine the best Salesforce and third-party technologies to integrate into customer architectures, based on product knowledge, standard EA frameworks, and Salesforce EA methodologies. Design and evangelize scalable solutions across Sales, Service, Marketing, Data, and Integration.
  • Industry Focus: Leverage your deep industry experience to build credibility with your customers and understand their unique requirements. Tailor solution strategies to industry-specific compliance, data, and operational models.

Your Impact:

  • Trusted Advisor: Build strong relationships with key sponsors and stakeholders including IT leaders and Chief Architects; guiding their selection, implementation approaches, and value realization from Salesforce solutions.
  • Secure Trust: Earn the confidence of prospects and customers by demonstrating a deep understanding of their business strategy, customer experiences, technology landscape, and industry requirements.
  • Engagement and Enablement: Conduct executive interviews, architecture and technical workshops, ensuring customers are well-equipped to leverage Salesforce technology effectively. Drive alignment between solution architecture and business value.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various Salesforce teams, including account executives, solution engineers, cloud specialists, professional services, and industry advisors to drive impactful customer engagements. Lead the full solutioning motion from pre-sales through hand-off to delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years in enterprise, software, or systems architecture roles
  • Proven consulting background with direct customer engagement, especially in pre-sales or advisory roles
  • Salesforce multi-cloud architecture experience and ability to whiteboard enterprise solutions
  • Strong knowledge of: Cloud-native architecture (SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy), Enterprise data strategy and system integration, AI/ML, automation, and business process orchestration, Enterprise security in cloud/hybrid environments, Excellent storytelling and communication skills—comfortable presenting to both technical and executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce implementation experience (hands-on or advisory)
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Core Products Certifications, Application Architect, System Architect, CTA candidate)
  • Experience with business capability modeling, value stream alignment, or design thinking methodologies
  • Knowledge of data privacy and compliance frameworks in regulated industries

For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $240,600 to $321,800.
