Lime is the largest global shared micromobility business, operating in close to 30 countries across five continents. We’re on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free. Our electric bikes and scooters have powered more than one billion rides in cities around the world. Named a 2025 Time 100 Most Influential Company, Lime continues to set the pace for shared micromobility globally, spurring a new generation of clean alternatives to car ownership.

Are you ready to lead the charge in revolutionizing micro-mobility? As a Principal Engineering Program Manager, you will be at the helm of delivering the next generation of Lime vehicles and accessories, driving innovation, and ensuring excellence across all aspects of the product development.

You will lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, collaborating with key stakeholders from product management, engineering, design, operations, supply chain, legal, and policy teams. Your ability to anticipate bottlenecks, drive technical decisions, manage escalations, and make strategic trade-offs will be key to balancing business needs with technical constraints.

Are you ready to leverage your deep program management expertise to align cross-functional workstreams, provide strong execution leadership, be adept in navigating through ambiguity—all while ensuring that the program is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, then this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.

This is a remote position based in the United States, with a strong preference for candidates located in San Francisco to support effective cross-team collaboration. Candidates outside the Bay Area should expect to travel to San Francisco approximately 10–15% of the time, along with occasional international travel.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team to deliver next-generation vehicles, docking, and accessories from concept to launch.

  • Facilitate deep technical discussions across various teams, focusing on product architecture, design/development tradeoffs, and integration of multiple technologies.

  • Provide clear, concise and comprehensive program health updates across stakeholders, ensuring alignment between program and cross-functional teams.

  • Lead the team through uncertainty by identifying and solving key issues, making decisions with limited information, and ensuring key program outcomes are prioritized.

  • Demonstrate strong financial discipline through ownership and driving of program costs and budget. Ensuring financial targets are met through effective cost control, risk mitigation, and budget management.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate program risks and issues. Develop contingency plans to address potential delays, cost overruns, or technical roadblocks, ensuring that program objectives are met on time and within budget.

  • Champion process improvements within the program management function, driving best practices, operational efficiencies, and scalability to ensure successful program delivery and long-term product success.

About you:

  • 10+ years of experience in program management within the consumer facing technology industry, with at least 5 years leading large, complex engineering programs in a cross-functional environment.

  • Strong technical background with experience in facilitating technical discussions on hardware, power systems, electronics, and firmware.

  • Proven experience in leading complex programs that span multiple technologies, with the ability to align workstreams and expectations across different disciplines.

  • Strong experience working with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, design, operations, supply chain, legal, and policy teams.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical details to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions in complex, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the micro-mobility, bicycle, automotive, or related industries is a plus.
