We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer & Engineering Manager with a proven track record of building innovative products and leading high-performing teams, who has a desire to join a rapidly growing, leading payment software company. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to be a hands-on engineer and oversee the design and development of a brand new S4/HANA Public Cloud payment integration from scratch, as well as the optimization and expansion of existing payment integration products for SAP ECC and SAP B1. This role will spearhead product development, innovation, and optimization in S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP B1, and SAP ECC environments, with an emphasis on hands-on technical engineering, nurturing our development partnership and relationship with SAP, and ensuring adherence to SAP best practices. You will play a critical role in hands-on development, optimizing our existing SAP add on products for excellence, and mentoring a dynamic team of developers. The role will require you to work collaboratively with Agile team members such as Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, QAs, and upper management, as well as our in-house Customer Support team and Sales/Business management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Project Contribution & Oversight: Lead and be hands-on in the design, development, and deployment of SAP solutions, ensuring they meet quality, scalability, and security standards.
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the technical vision and strategy for SAP product development in alignment with business goals.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor engineering teams, including managers and developers, to ensure high performance and innovation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and operations, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Report progress, challenges, and successes to the executive team and other stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets for engineering projects and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in SAP development, with a focus on product development.
  • Minimum 5 years working on S/4 HANA Public Cloud.
  • 3+ years of experience working on the SAP ECC platform.
  • Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP development, including advanced techniques such as Object-Oriented ABAP, AMDP, CDS Views, and HANA SQL scripting.
  • Expertise in SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of integration approaches (APIs, OData, SAP PI/PO, etc.) and cloud-based architectures, particularly with SAP Cloud Platform and SAP BTP.
  • Experience with product-based development, including architecture, design, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of core SAP modules and their integration points (e.g., FI/CO, SD, MM, PP).
  • Experience leading the design, development, and delivery of robust, scalable solutions in SAP ECC and S/4HANA Public Cloud.
  • Experience developing high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions tailored to business needs, ensuring the product aligns with overall business goals.
  • Experience architecting custom applications, interfaces, and integrations within SAP environments.
  • Proven track record building and managing development teams.


Additional Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on SAP products and at least 8+ years in a leadership role.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP platforms, tools, and integration methods.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex projects.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP certification in S/4HANA.
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments or with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Knowledge of analytics tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP development, with a focus on product development.
