Lead the design technology practice at Atlassian, focusing on prototyping, AI integration, and mentoring a team of Design Technologists.
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
About the Role
As a Principal Product Designer (Design Technologist), you are a cross-functional leader and subject matter expert. You'll drive the vision and execution of design technology initiatives that impact multiple products and domains. You'll set new standards for prototyping, AI integration, and design-to-code workflows, mentoring others and shaping the future of design technology at Atlassian.
You'll join the Atlassian Design System (ADS), reporting to the Senior Design Manager for Design Technology within ADS, a multidisciplinary group building the foundational tools, components, and guidelines that power the user experience across all Atlassian apps. The ADS team partners closely with product, engineering, and accessibility experts to create scalable, inclusive, and coherent design solutions at enterprise scale. You'll shape the future of Atlassian's prototyping culture and that of the industry, champion best practices, and accelerate innovation through AI tooling and AI-toolchain workflow improvements for all of Atlassian Design.
