Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Sector's Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO) is seeking a Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to support its Enterprise Platforms & Applications organization. The selected candidate will support Business Lifecycle Solutions (BLS) and the Corporate IT portfolio, with a focus on a complex, Enterprise Resource Management toolset solution. The successful candidate will be expected to monitor, maintain, and provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support, collect data for analysis, perform network upgrades, and be able to produce documentation and diagrams of the work they perform. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide System Administrative support for a team of engineers, developers and testers to meet program support needs but maintaining system security standards.
  • Working as part of a team to design, build and maintain AWS and hybrid-cloud systems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; 3 Years with a Masters; 1 year with a PhD; 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience of architecture, maintenance, and administration of Linux and Windows Operating Systems within large enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience working within IT Systems Design, Deployment and Administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud service certification (e.g.; AWS, Azure, Google, or similar).
  • Experience with one or more programming languages.
  • Recent roles in Technical or Team Leadership positions.
  • Knowledge of cloud database management (e.g.; MySQL RDS and PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity in the context of the cloud.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile Development environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $113,900.00 - $170,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
