The Stinger Finance team within the LADS (Land and Air Defense Systems) Mission Area has an immediate need for a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls (P3) within our Production program area. Frequent interaction and collaboration with various functions (finance, engineering, operations, contract, and program office) will require you to possess strong presentation and communication skills.
This role is being offered in a hybrid capacity (onsite & remote). The preferred candidate will be located within a commutable distance to Tucson, AZ, Andover, MA, Huntsville, AL, McKinney, TX, Ft. Collins, CO, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Relocation assistance is not being offered.
What You Will Do
Preparing weekly and monthly program reports
Supporting internal Earned Value Management implementation and maintenance, including variance analysis and monthly EV deliverables
Development of quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs)
Supporting the monthly forecasting process, including stakeholder coordination and Rplan updates
Providing support for internal program reviews, including chart development and presentation
CSDR reporting requirements (1921 deliverables)
Providing ad‑hoc analysis and decision support to program leadership
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field & a minimum of 5 years professional finance/accounting experience; OR an Advanced degree with 3 years professional finance/accounting experience
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and/or variance analysis
Experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas), Word, and/or PowerPoint
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience supporting an Earned Value program or EV environment
Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while multitasking
Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to lead and participate in meetings
Ability to meet critical deadlines and drive process improvements
Experience with SAP APEX, PRISM, and BW
Experience working in a DoD environment

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
