Job Description:
The Workday Adaptive Principal Consultant leads end-to-end Adaptive Planning engagements. You will drive discovery, solution design, model build, integrations, testing, and enablement while mentoring consultants and serving as a trusted advisor to finance and business leaders. You are equally comfortable shaping strategy with the CFO and rolling up your sleeves to tune a model.
What You Will Do
Lead Workday Adaptive Planning implementations from discovery through go-live and stabilization
Translate business objectives into scalable planning architectures across revenue, workforce, OPEX/CAPEX, and balance sheet and cash flow
Configure dimensions, versions, permissions, and workflows to support enterprise planning and governance
Integrate data from Workday Financials and other sources using Adaptive connectors, EIBs, and flat-file pipelines; partner with technical teams on data architecture and reconciliation
Build reports, dashboards, and Workday Adaptive add-in outputs for finance and executive audiences
Run design and validation workshops, lead UAT, and deliver train-the-trainer and end-user enablement
What You Will Bring
6 or more years in EPM or FP&A with 4 or more years hands-on in Workday Adaptive Planning
Multiple end-to-end Adaptive deployments as a lead, including workforce and financial statement planning
Strong modeling skills and a practical approach to driver-based planning and scenario analysis
Experience integrating Adaptive with Workday Financials
Consulting toolkit: clear communication, stakeholder management, issue and risk management, and the ability to simplify complex topics
Experience conducting design and build reviews
Workday Adaptive Planning certification preferred; CPA or MBA a plus
