About Us

At SentinelOne, we’re redefining cybersecurity by pushing the limits of what’s possible—leveraging AI-powered, data-driven innovation to stay ahead of tomorrow’s threats.

From building industry-leading products to cultivating an exceptional company culture, our core values guide everything we do. We’re looking for passionate individuals who thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to drive impact. If you’re excited about solving complex challenges in bold, innovative ways, we’d love to connect with you.

What Are We Looking For?

The Principal Architect will be a strategic force shaping the next generation of our AI-powered security platform. Sitting at the intersection of product vision, advanced engineering, and emerging technology, this leader will set the architectural direction for the company and ensure our platform can scale to meet the most complex global security challenges. Reporting to the President, Product and Technology, you’ll tackle the toughest technical problems, drive clarity in high-stakes decisions, and influence the long-term trajectory of our business.

This is an opportunity to operate with executive-level visibility and impact: defining the blueprint for a platform trusted by enterprises worldwide, embedding AI and machine learning into production systems at massive scale, and raising the technical bar across a global engineering organization. Your work will not only determine how we build today but will also shape the competitive edge of our technology for years to come.

What Will You Do?

Strategic Architectural Leadership

  • Define the Future Architecture: Serve as the final authority and strategic driver for the company's platform architecture, ensuring it aligns with our long-term vision, supports massive scale, and accelerates the delivery of our AI, data, and security product roadmap
  • Platform & AI Integration: Lead the architectural design and evolution of our core platform components, focusing on seamless integration, high-performance data pipelines, and the operationalization of cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities into our threat detection and response engine
  • Executive Technical Steering: Provide decisive technical guidance to R&D, Product Management, and Executive Leadership on critical build-vs-buy decisions, technology investments, and architectural trade-offs that have significant business impact
  • Customer and Partner Leadership: Lead architecture and design discussions with key customers and partners, maximizing the reach and potential of our platform

Technical Problem Solving & Governance

  • Systemic Risk Reduction: Identify and architect solutions for the most pressing systemic security, performance, and scaling issues across our production environments (multi-cloud/hybrid); this includes evolving our cloud security posture, data governance model, and continuous delivery pipelines
  • Architecture Governance: Institute and champion a flexible, yet disciplined, set of architectural principles, standards, and patterns to ensure engineering velocity without compromising security, reliability, or cost-efficiency
  • Technology Scouting: Maintain expert-level awareness of emerging technologies, particularly in Generative AI, large-scale data processing, serverless/container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud-native security, evaluating their potential to provide a competitive advantage

Influence & Mentorship

  • Engineering Elevation: Act as a hands-on mentor and technical thought leader, raising the architectural competence of senior engineers and architects across the organization
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive architectural consensus and adoption across globally distributed teams within the Product and Technology teams (R&D, DevOps, Cloud Ops, Security, and Product) and with Go-to-Market teams (Partners, Systems Engineering) often bridging technical silos and resolving complex organizational dependencies
What Skills and Knowledge Should You Bring?
  • 12+ years in technical leadership roles, with 4+ years as a Principal Architect, Distinguished Engineer, or equivalent role in a global-scale SaaS or cybersecurity company
  • Deep expertise as a lead architect defining and evolving infrastructure, middleware, security, data, AI, and services architectures
  • Expertise in designing and operating large-scale, multi-region cloud security platforms (AWS required; exposure to GCP/Azure preferred)
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML in production, including operationalizing models, LLM architectures, vector databases, and high-performance data pipelines
  • Extensive background in platform architecture: data lakes, microservices, APIs, and multi-tenant SaaS delivery models
  • Strong security background, with expertise in IAM, Zero Trust, and cryptographic controls
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to articulate complex technical strategies to executives and engineers alike
  • Advanced certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Security Specialty, or CISSP/CCSP
  • Experience in fast-scaling cybersecurity environments handling petabyte-scale telemetry and real-time threat analysis
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes, CNCF technologies, and cloud-native security practices
  • Published thought leadership (patents, papers, or technical articles) in cloud architecture, AI, and/or cybersecurity
Why Us?
  • You will be joining a cutting-edge company, where you will tackle extraordinary challenges and work with the very best in the industry
  • Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(k), Commuter, Health and Dependent FSA
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Industry-leading gender-neutral parental leave
  • Paid company holidays
  • Paid sick time

  • Disability and life insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Gym membership reimbursement
