ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Sparksoft is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to support our government contracting operations. This mid-level role is responsible for developing, analyzing, and reviewing cost and pricing data for proposals in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), RFP requirements, and other applicable company policies. The ideal candidate will have pricing specific experience in government contracting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments in an agile environment.

  • Develop and prepare cradle to grave cost proposals, pricing models, and cost narratives for government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, IDIQs, etc.).
  • Manage, update, and maintain both internal and external pricing related documents.
  • Review and Analyze solicitation requirements and ensure RFP compliance with applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with resources and teams across multiple departments and partnering companies.
  • Perform cost analysis, risk assessments, and scenario modeling to support strategic pricing decisions.
  • Maintain pricing databases, templates, and historical data for evaluation and reference.
  • Assist in the development of pricing strategies and “price to win” analysis for competitive bids.
  • Present proposal pricing data points and competitive analysis to members of the Sparksoft executive team

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in pricing or financial analysis within a government contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, and cost principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Lookups, IFs, INDEX, and other complex nested formulas/spreadsheets)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Navigate complex challenges with agility and logical decision-making

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience supporting proposals for government agencies such as DoD, DHS, or civilian agencies.
  • Knowledge of indirect rate structures and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Prior involvement in competitive proposal development.
  • Thrives in environments that require independent, innovative thinking and personal accountability.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in pricing or financial analysis within a government contracting environment.
