The Technical Architect, Virtualization and Infrastructure is responsible for the design, build, and delivery of complex projects focusing on Virtualization and datacenter technologies across all industry verticals to meet our client’s technology and business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of Infrastructure solutions, and the design, implementation, and delivery of on-premises cloud-like datacenter solutions for enterprise clients. This includes, but is not limited to hosting whiteboard discussions, developing technical architecture, and preparing client documentation. You must have significant development experience, and an understanding of Server, Storage and network solutions designed around VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local and Nutanix.  

Our Pre-Sales team consults with our customers to provide enterprise solutions. This person will be a subject matter expert for strategic client opportunities covering one or more technology areas with a focus on Lenovo Infrastructure. 

Requirements
  • Develop technical architecture for Azure local solutions, leveraging Lenovo MX series Servers 
  • Develop technical architecture for Hypervisor solutions with Lenovo Hardware. This includes VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local and Nutanix. 
  • Host whiteboard discussions and technical workshops to gather requirements and present solutions 
  • Defines data management and governance practices to ensure the accuracy, security, and compliance of data within datacenter technologies 
  • Identifies opportunities to optimize performance and scalability and implements solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost optimization 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure successful project outcomes 
  • Participate in planning, daily, review, and retrospective meetings and deliver solutions as a team 
  • Participates in peer review and signs off on detailed designs with project / executive sponsorship 
  • Drives service designs and outcomes that are globally available, secure, and reliable to our customers 
  • Executes daily tasks across multiple Opportunities. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest Lenovo solutions supporting datacenter technologies and industry trends to continuously improve solutions and methodologies 
  • Must complete Lenovo Certifications within an agreed upon time 

Job Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent experience 
  • Must have 5+ years of senior-level experience with related technologies  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical consulting role and must be comfortable in client-facing meetings 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and as an individual 
  • Complete assigned tasks  
  • Virtualization platform experience expected

  • Virtualization platform experience preferred

    • AHV - Nutanix 
  • Physical to Virtual Migrations (P2V) Experience

Physical Demands

  • Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day
  • Keyboarding for 8 hours per day
  • Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
  • Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
  • Hearing Requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)
  • Some travel may be required
