We are seeking a talented and driven Pre-Sales Product Engineer to join our team at Hawk-Eye Broadcast Solutions. Technical Consultation: Providing expert advice on integrating broadcast replay systems into client workflows.
Solution Architecture: Designing and customizing technical solutions to meet specific client needs.
Product Demonstrations: Showcasing the technical capabilities of broadcast replay products to potential customers.
Proof of Concept: Developing and executing proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate product feasibility.
Technical Documentation: Creating detailed documentation for proposed solutions and system configurations.
Collaboration with Development Teams: Working closely with product development teams to address technical challenges and refine offerings.
Customer Training: Delivering technical training sessions to ensure clients can effectively use the products.
Market Analysis: Staying informed about industry trends and competitor technologies to provide strategic insights.
Support During Sales Process: Assisting sales teams with technical expertise during negotiations and presentations.
Trade Show Representation: Participating in industry events to showcase products and network with potential clients.
Qualifications:
Strong technical background in broadcast replay systems and related technologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design creative solutions.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in a pre-sales capacity.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of industry trends and competitor technologies in the broadcast replay market.
Essential Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role within the broadcast industry, with a strong focus on live sports production workflows.
Operational experience running a Replay solution for broadcast television.
Knowledge of the broadcast replay industry (e.g., EVS, Grass Valley, Simplylive, etc.) and a deep understanding of their technical capabilities and integration points.
Proven experience in customer-facing roles, such as technical support, training, or pre-sales engineering, with a track record of building strong client relationships.
Solid understanding of video and audio signal flow, formats, and standards (e.g., SDI, IP, HDR, various codecs).
Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex broadcast environments.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to create clear technical documentation.
Ability to travel as required for client meetings, demonstrations, and industry events.
Preferred Experience:
5+ years of experience specifically in a pre-sales or sales engineering role within the broadcast replay or related live production technology sector.
Operational experience in an OB Truck environment specific to Replay or support engineering.
In-depth knowledge of IP-based video workflows (e.g., SMPTE ST 2110) and their application in broadcast replay systems.
Experience with virtualized and cloud-based broadcast solutions.
Familiarity with broadcast control systems and automation.
Experience developing and delivering technical training programs.
Participation in industry trade shows and conferences, including product demonstrations and technical presentations.
Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications, Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Existing network of contacts within the broadcast production community.
