Merge medical imaging solutions, offered by Merative, combine intelligent, scalable imaging workflow tools with deep and broad expertise to help healthcare organizations improve their confidence in patient outcomes and optimize care delivery.The Merge Clinical Pre-Sales Consultant is a client facing role for Merge Imaging Solutions that drives sales through consultative understanding of clients’ needs and clinical impact, our solutions’ Unique Business Values, and the specific sales strategy for a client while working under minimal supervision.
This position collaborates with the sales team as the clinical and product Pre-Sales expert for Merge Imaging Solutions. The role supports the initiatives to consult with clients to understand their clinical department use cases, interoperability needs, technical and business challenges, and vision for the future. You will leverage your clinical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to effectively demonstrate the value of our products, tailor solutions to meet client needs, and provide timely feedback to Solution Management for improvements to the Merge Solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales representatives to develop and execute effective selling strategies for each opportunity.
- Document customers’ goals, objectives, opportunities, problems, and obstacles, linking them back to Merge solution unique business values (UBVs).
- Provide workflow analysis of the current state and demonstrate how Merge solutions can improve existing workflows.
- Analyze the competitive landscape of each deal to properly position Merge’s UBVs and differentiators.
- Develop proposed solutions that address prospect-specific clinical, business, and technology issues.
- Perform tailored onsite product demonstrations and presentations to clinical end-users, IT staff, business analysts, and executives.
- Answer clinical questions about product applications and new features to prospects and various groups within new and existing customer accounts.
- Gather ongoing prospect-customer feedback and related information, providing feedback to product management.
- Assist in staging and staffing industry trade shows.
- Pursing a program of self-development through selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.
- Identify and communicate possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong ability to articulate technology concepts to both high level business audiences and highly clinical or technical individuals.
- Demonstrated self-confidence and self-reliance in conducting demonstrations, presentations and experience working in healthcare imaging business situations.
- Broad background and general knowledge of clinical, technical, administrative, and financial areas of running an effective clinical imaging department.
- Experience with CRM software and sales processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist and/or Vascular/ Echo Tech
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Pre-Sales clinical consulting, or similar role.
- 1+ years of experience providing application support and explaining clinical and technical concepts to customers and sales prospects or providing internal support to company employees.
- Proven track record of success in supporting sales of complex medical imaging solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT environments, including HL7 interfaces, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Health information System/Radiology Information Systems (HIS/RIS), and DICOM standards.
- Experience with cloud services, networking, and cybersecurity as it pertains to medical imaging solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent work experience
- Requires 75% travel.
