PR Specialist
Hungry Operators With a Notebook Welcome to Apply
Seeking.com | Full-Time, Exempt, Remote (US) | Reports to: Senior PR Manager
About the RoleSeeking.com is the world's largest premium dating platform, and we are in the middle of the most important chapter of our brand transformation. The PR Specialist is the second seat on our in-house PR and Communications team, reporting to the Senior PR Manager. You will not be coordinating from the sidelines. You will be pitching journalists, drafting press releases, running the day-to-day operations of our member casting book, and stepping in front of cameras and microphones yourself when needed.
This is a role with real surface area for someone in the middle of their PR career. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our Senior PR Manager on every dimension of the function: tier-one pitching, executive visibility, agency coordination with our outside partners in the UK and US, trend-hijacking, awards, and member casting. You will own specific beats and pitching streams of your own, and you will learn from someone who is doing the same work at a higher altitude.
This is the right role for an ambitious specialist who wants to be promoted to Senior PR Manager in two to three years, and who knows that the way to get there is by doing the work, not waiting for permission.
Who Should ApplyWe care more about wiring than resume. We are especially open to candidates from these backgrounds:
- Mid-level agency operators (Account Executive to Senior Account Executive) at consumer, lifestyle, or entertainment shops
- Reporters or junior editors looking to bring their newsroom instincts to the PR side
- In-house PR specialists at consumer brands ready for a more entrepreneurial environment
- Communications generalists from high-growth startups where PR was scrappy and the candidate had to figure it out
If you are early-to-mid career, hungry, and want to do the work of a Senior PR Manager while still earning the title, this role is for you.

- Casting Excellence: The member book under your operational care grows in depth, diversity, and media-readiness
- Camera-Ready: You step into spokesperson moments without flinching when called on
- AI as Leverage: You treat AI as a force multiplier and you describe your prompts and workflows as part of how you work
Be honest with yourself about whether this is your environment:

- You take feedback well, fast, and visibly. You want a manager who actually coaches you, and you can handle a high-volume editing pass without taking it personally
- You are an operator, not a coordinator-for-life. You want to be doing the senior work, even when the title says Specialist
- You are willing to step in front of the camera or microphone yourself. PR people at Seeking are not just behind the scenes
- You care about the dating and relationships space, or you are curious enough about it to become a student
- You are comfortable working on a brand with public-perception baggage and helping change the narrative
- You take ownership. You are the kind of person who would rather fix something quietly than wait to be told to fix it
- Morning media scan and competitor coverage check; flag opportunities for the team Slack
- Pitch journalists on your beats; track outreach and responses
- Draft a press release or pitch for the Senior PR Manager's review
- Coordinate a member from the casting book for a journalist interview request and prep them on the call
- Run the daily check-in with our outside agency partners on open deliverables

- End the day by surfacing one trend-hijack opportunity for tomorrow morning's stand-up
- You are personally landing tier-two and tier-three placements on a regular basis, with progress toward tier-one
- The casting book grows in size, diversity, and quality under your operational ownership
- Your writing standard rises to the point where the Senior PR Manager's edits become lighter each quarter
- You have stepped in as a spokesperson at least once and represented the brand well
- Your AI workflows make you noticeably more productive than peers without them
- You are seen as the team's go-to operator on at least one specific beat or workstream

You make it real, day in and day out, with the pitches you send, the members you cast, the agencies you coordinate, and the cameras you step in front of when it is your turn. The way the public hears about Seeking over the next 24 months will be shaped, in real and direct ways, by the work you ship every week.
