We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

Rula is a remote-first company. We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.

About the Role

As Rula’s PR and Brand Partnerships Manager, you will bring to Rula a strong understanding of today’s earned media and brand partnership landscape—where cultural relevance, credible storytelling, and authentic relationships drive awareness and trust. In this position, you’ll help execute Rula’s top-of-funnel earned strategy with a focus on consumer PR, brand and cultural partnerships, earned moments, and thought leadership. Working closely with the department head, you’ll translate strategy into high-impact programs and campaigns that elevate Rula’s visibility, strengthen brand trust, and support key business priorities.

Alongside our agency partners, you’ll play a central role in building and managing relationships with media, brand partners, influencers, mental health advocates, industry leaders, and other strategic collaborators. From helping secure high-quality earned coverage and activating timely cultural moments to supporting executive and clinician thought leadership, your work will help shape how Rula shows up in the world. Brand partnerships and earned activations will be fully integrated into broader campaigns, ensuring consistent, compelling storytelling across channels.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for a strategic thinker who thrives on collaboration, values measurement and impact, and has a sharp pulse on media, culture, and audience insights. You bring strong storytelling instincts, operational rigor, and a passion for building trusted, meaningful brand presence through earned and partnership-led initiatives. You work well in a fast-paced environment and can navigate ambiguity with confidence and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, earned media, and/or brand partnerships, either in-house or at an agency, with a proven track record of executing integrated campaigns that drive brand awareness, credibility, and trust

  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing earned media strategies, with the ability to ground recommendations in historical performance, audience insights, and cultural relevance

  • Strong expertise crafting compelling press communications, including press releases, timely media pitches, executive and cross-functional announcements, and narrative frameworks aligned to brand priorities

  • Experience managing day-to-day PR agency relationships, including developing clear and strategic briefs, providing timely and actionable feedback, and building strong, collaborative partnerships to drive high-quality earned media outcomes

  • Proven skill to source, negotiate, manage, and activate brand partnerships, including influencer, ambassador, and thought-leader collaborations (e.g., creators, celebrities, industry experts, or mental health advocates), in service of earned media, brand, or campaign objectives

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Brand, Social, Growth, Product Marketing, and Communications teams to support integrated launches and dynamic multi-channel campaigns

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • 3+ years supporting executive, clinician, or subject-matter thought leadership

  • Hands-on experience supporting and activating at industry events, conferences, and awards programs—developing press strategies, managing on-the-ground execution, and maximizing visibility through media, partnerships, and influencer engagement

  • Expertise working in highly regulated and/or trust-sensitive environments, partnering with Legal and Clinical partners to ensure accuracy, compliance, and credibility across earned media and partnership initiatives

  • Previous experience tracking and analyzing performance across PR and brand partnerships, including earned media outputs, engagement metrics, and qualitative impact

  • Ability to synthesize performance data into clear insights and optimization recommendations for senior leadership

We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive:

  • 100% remote work environment: Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments (must be based in United States, currently not hiring in Hawaii)

  • Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States

  • Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA

  • 401(k) plan access: Start saving for your future

  • Generous time-off policies: Including 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees)

  • Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Support for your mental and physical health

  • New hire home office stipend: Set up your workspace for success

  • Quarterly department stipend: Fund team-building activities or in-person gatherings

  • Wellness events and lunch & learns: Explore a variety of engaging topics

  • Community and employee resource groups: Participate in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all

Our team

We believe that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our mission of making mental healthcare work for everyone.  We are dedicated to having a culture of inclusion that will support our employees in feeling safe, seen, heard, and valued.
