Project Manager – Studies
Location: Eden Prairie, MN or Remote
Schedule: Full-Time
Pay Range: $100,000 – $140,000 / Salary (based on experience)
Lead complex studies, drive technical excellence, and deliver engineering insights that shape the future of energy.
EVS is seeking a Project Manager for our Studies team to lead and coordinate power system study projects from planning through execution. This role is ideal for a technically grounded leader with experience managing engineering teams and delivering high-quality studies that inform substation, transmission, or renewable energy system design.
You’ll guide cross-functional teams, oversee schedules and budgets, ensure client satisfaction, and contribute to ongoing process improvement in our studies division.
What You’ll Do
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for power system studies
Lead project execution from initiation through completion with attention to scope, schedule, and budget
Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively
Ensure quality, compliance, and technical excellence in all deliverables
Motivate and lead cross-functional teams, providing clarity and accountability
Serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, facilitating communication and issue resolution
Deliver progress reports, manage expectations, and align study objectives with broader project goals
Analyze project data and drive continuous improvement in delivery and efficiency
Contribute to process enhancements and team mentorship within the studies group
What You Bring
Proven experience managing power system studies or similar engineering projects
Technical understanding of system studies such as short circuit, arc flash, load flow, protection coordination, and grounding
Strong command of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera, Procore)
Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
Solid understanding of industry regulations, NERC standards, and utility requirements
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred
Growth Path
You’ll start by managing key studies projects and establishing relationships across teams and clients. As you grow, you’ll take on larger scopes, mentor junior engineers and project managers, and influence strategic decisions in our growing Studies division.
