We are seeking a Power Solutions Manager to support and promote our advanced power generation solutions, with a focus on the Modular Power System (MPS), large kW systems, and Clean Energy solutions. In this role, you’ll partner with Direct-Sales Teams, Distributors, and key engineering and construction firms to drive specification, adoption, and successful delivery of Generac products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Identify and develop relationships with key engineering firms; educate them on Generac solutions to drive specification and acceptance of our products.
Provide technical sales support for the Modular Power System, large kW, and Clean Energy solutions both onsite and remotely.
Train the electrical engineering community through structured seminars and provide “train-the-trainer” support.
Assist Direct-Sales Teams and Distributors on project-specific opportunities, collaborating with engineering and construction firms to secure Generac as the solution of choice.
Support sales tool development and utilization (PDSS, fly-ins, customer visits, Engineering Symposiums, Power Design Pro).
Deliver voice-of-customer insights to Sales and Product Management to influence strategy and product development.
Conduct competitive analyses and contribute to product launch planning.
Travel domestically up to 50% of the time to engage with customers, partners, and projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of technical sales or sales support experience, OR completion of Generac’s Market Focused Sales Manager rotational program
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in power generation or engine generator paralleling solutions
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of industrial power generation systems, specifically modular and paralleling solutions
Proven ability to influence engineering and design decision-making in a technical sales environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver training and build strong relationships with engineering firms
Ability to collaborate across sales, distributors, and engineering communities while providing real-time market feedback
Comfortable with 50% domestic travel to support customers and business objectives
Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based remotely in Colorado is $124,000- $154,000. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives.
This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, 8 paid Holidays and 401(k) retirement benefits.
