Job Title
Power BI Business Intelligence InternThe Business Intelligence Intern will support a key modernization initiative focused on overhauling the structure and user experience of the Commercial COE’s Power BI reporting platform. This intern will work closely with the Director of Commercial Systems and Data to streamline report access, improve navigation, and redesign user-specific landing pages that serve a global commercial audience.This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter interested in data visualization, user experience design, and business analytics operations in a real-world manufacturing context.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze the structure and usage of current Power BI apps (production and pre-production)
- Redesign and reorganize dashboards using functional and role-based logic
- Create interactive landing pages using Power BI bookmarks and page navigation features
- Assist in developing user-focused navigation menus and audience segmentation
- Stage and deploy changes in pre-production, collect feedback, and implement refinements
- Support rollout of new design to the production app environment
- Document access rules, dashboard mapping, and user communication materials
- Participate in short weekly check-ins and present final deliverables
Qualifications:
Required:
- Enrolled in a college or university program (junior/senior undergraduate or graduate student) - technical degree preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI (Desktop and Service)
- Understanding of business reporting concepts and user interface design
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and structured thinking
- Effective communicator who can work independently and take initiative
Preferred:
- Experience with app navigation in Power BI
- Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Power Automate, or SharePoint
