Summary

The Processor, Post Payoffs is responsible for ensuring that all outstanding balances are cleared timely and accurately on all paid off loans. This position will work collaboratively with business units to ensure company guidelines and processes are met.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Partners with Cash Management in the resolution and processing of short payoffs received.
  • Contacts attorneys, title agents and borrowers as needed to resolve short payoff issues
  • Research and resolve zero balance loans with remaining balances on the FISERV system
  • Makes recommendations to department manager concerning potential write offs
  • Research and resolve borrower refund checks which are returned undeliverable
  • Audits PIF loans to ensure proper notices are being sent to hazard vendor, tax vendor and PMI companies
  • Ensures servicing system of record is properly updated to reflect all work that has been completed
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
