Position will be posted until filled.

BASIC FUNCTION:

This position is generally responsible for taking and analyzing large loans and complex middle market commercial and mortgage loan applications; recommending approval or denial, reviewing loan recommendations of others; and developing new business. Responsible for management of existing designated loan portfolio; renewal operating loans, term loans, restructures, collections, monitoring of non-accrual loans and other problem credit and loan servicing needs.  This position may train other association staff in loan analysis techniques and practices, and review work of others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:         

  • Interview loan applicants, assessing customer needs and provides services to meet those needs.  Assist customers in preparing loan applications and budgets.
  • Analyze and service large, complex and/or non-typical loan applications and supporting documents.  Recommend approval or denial of loans, or approve/deny loans within delegated lending authority. 
  • Assist with determining and reviewing required legal documentation.
  • Document verification of assets and review of other relevant data.
  • Communicate association credit philosophy and stock requirements to customer.
  • Prepare loan servicing actions and follow-up on assigned loan portfolio.  Ensure that controls are implemented to monitor the risks identified in the assigned portfolio.
  • Communicate and promote the availability of loan products and other financially related services.
  • Assist in the development of new business by conducting marketing calls, attending community or industry functions, & providing timely service to existing customers.  Maintain community contacts to generate and develop new business.
  • Conduct collateral inspections.
  • Assist in the training and development of other Association staff, and review the work of others.
  • Perform other functions assigned.

LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED:

Generally exercises no supervision.  Makes independent decisions; works under general direction of the Director of Corporate Underwritng.

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS degree with emphasis on agriculture, agribusiness, business administration, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in credit/financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated skills in credit and cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, profitability, liquidity, and solvency analysis.
  • General knowledge of agriculture and/or agribusiness.
  • Demonstrated analytical and statistical skills to evaluate, prioritize and categorize data in various formats.  Working knowledge of Excel or similar spreadsheet and analytical software.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and prioritizing work to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of FCA regulations, association and district policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong persuasive and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of PC, including word processing, e-mail and electronic spreadsheet software.

FULL-TIME REMOTE: These roles and job functions can be done remotely, while maintaining our strong commitment to customer service and our business goals. Employees are welcome to come to an office to work if needed, and some travel for team meetings will be required.

PAY RANGE:

Minimum $71,138.70 - Max $120,935.79 Annual

This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.

  • Compensation, title, and job level may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.

  • Salary offered, within the applicable range, is one component of the total rewards package offered to candidates.
