As a Senior Product Manager in Merchant Services supporting SMBs, you are an integral part of the team that innovates new product offerings and leads the end-to-end product life cycle. As a core leader, you are responsible for acting as the voice of the customer and developing profitable products that provide customer value. Utilizing your deep understanding of how to get a product off the ground, you guide the successful launch of products, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. With a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations. 


The role of Senior Product Manager for Point-of-Sale represents a high-impact, strategic position within the firm. This position sits at the intersection of hardware, software, payments technology, and business operations, requiring an individual who can synthesize complex technical requirements with merchant needs and business objectives. The incumbent will be responsible for owning the complete product lifecycle of POS hardware offerings—from initial concept development through production, market launch, and ongoing optimization based on customer feedback and performance data. 

  

Job responsibilities 

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to SMB customers related to point-of-sale and Card Present solutions. 
  • Drives the development and launch of innovative hardware and software solutions tailored to the evolving needs of SMBs across North America. 
  • Manages discovery efforts and market research to uncover customer needs and translates them into a roadmap that aligns with business priorities. 
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables our tech partners to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition. 
  • Builds the framework and tracks key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability. 
  • Develops and communicates a compelling product vision, effectively engaging with executive stakeholders through the product development process. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain. 
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics having direct experience launching solutions for SMB merchants.  
  • Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management. 
  • Proven track record of driving product adoption and growth for merchant-related solutions.  
  • Possesses knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for hardware and software solutions, serving both B2B and B2C customers across North America. 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • Demonstrated experience working with AI tools such as natural language processing platforms, data analytics solutions, and automation software. 
  • Ability to apply AI technologies to streamline workflows, enhance decision-making, and improve productivity within a business environment. 
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
