This position is designated as work-from-home.
About the Role:
Synergy seeks a Platform Architect to own the architecture, scalability, and reliability of our core platform. The Platform Architect will lead architectural engagement services for technologies such as Single Page Architecture, Logging, Development tool installations/ upgrades, CI/CD pipeline integrations, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Amazon Web Services and Cloud support. Working with the Cloud Operations team, provide technical services to help with application migration, containerization, CI/CD pipelines and proof of concepts.
- Provide User Interface/User Experience consulting and guidance for development teams.
- Provide expert consulting services to the delivery teams including pilots and proof of concepts to adopt target state technologies.
- Provide expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot any issue to keep current state applications operational.
- Assist with implementation of releases that address security compliance and risk mitigation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of general experience in information systems.
- Proficiency in IT business/system analysis.
- Competency implementing ITIL V4 best practices.
- Overall technical knowledge of SAP software with ability to review and provide feedback on support documents.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum development methodology.
- Ability to understand business models and operational risk.
- Analytical ability, pragmatic problem-solving skills, and strong sense of task ownership.
- Ownership over regular, consistent, and proactive communications with various levels of government stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate amongst multiple different team types, and own responsibility for coordinating and communicating multiple tasks across multiple teams supporting a variety of different applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Atlassian suite of tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) and their administration.
- Prior experience with Microsoft SharePoint and O365 development.
- Prior experience working with AWS Cloud environments.
- Prior experience Agile or SAFe methodologies preferred.
Citizenship and Clearance Requirement(s):
- US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (green card holder).
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
