Company Overview:
Blink Health is the fastest growing healthcare technology company that builds products to make prescriptions accessible and affordable to everybody.  Our two primary products – BlinkRx and Quick Save – remove traditional roadblocks within the current prescription supply chain, resulting in better access to critical medications and improved health outcomes for patients.
BlinkRx is the world’s first pharma-to-patient cloud that offers a digital concierge service for patients who are prescribed branded medications. Patients benefit from transparent low prices, free home delivery, and world-class support on this first-of-its-kind centralized platform. With BlinkRx, never again will a patient show up at the pharmacy only to discover that they can’t afford their medication, their doctor needs to fill out a form for them, or the pharmacy doesn’t have the medication in stock.
We are a highly collaborative team of builders and operators who invent new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. Join us!

The Opportunity:

As a BlinkRx Pharmacist, you are the clinical backbone of our closed-door facility. You will verify prescriptions with speed and precision, provide proactive phone-based patient counseling, and collaborate with prescribers to keep medications moving without compromising safety. This role is ideal for pharmacists who thrive in a structured, high-throughput environment and are passionate about improving patient outcomes at scale.

Responsibilities:

Prescription Verification and Dispensing

  • Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug-drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
  • Validate prescription data entry performed by pharmacy technicians, ensuring transcription accuracy from provider orders and transfer records
  • Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed-door fulfillment environment, confirming accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, NDC, and labeling prior to release for shipment
  • Perform daily prospective drug utilization review (DUR) to identify and resolve clinical flags before fulfillment
  • Manage specialty medication handling requirements including cold-chain verification

Patient Care

All patient interaction at BlinkRx is conducted by phone or digital platforms. Our pharmacists are the primary clinical contact for patients and must deliver a high standard of care in every call.

  • Provide proactive outbound patient counseling calls for new prescriptions, addressing drug education, expected side effects, dosing instructions, storage requirements, and adherence strategies
  • Handle inbound clinical patient calls related to counseling and clinical inquiries, while directing non-clinical inquiries, such as refill status and delivery questions, to the patient support team.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly in the patient profile within the pharmacy management system
  • Support Spanish-speaking patients with bilingual counseling where applicable

Prescriber Collaboration and Clinical Outreach

  • Contact prescriber offices via phone and electronic messaging to clarify incomplete, ambiguous, or clinically inappropriate prescriptions prior to dispensing
  • Partner with prescribers on therapeutic substitutions, DAW overrides, and formulary alternatives to reduce dispensing delays

Pharmacy Technician Supervision and Workflow Management

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians across data entry, prescription processing, packaging, and fulfillment workflows in accordance with state board regulations and in collaboration with technician management
  • Conduct real-time quality checks on technician work product, providing immediate corrective feedback to maintain accuracy standards
  • Identify and escalate technician performance trends to pharmacy leadership; participate in coaching and training as directed

Compliance, Safety and Quality

  • Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, state pharmacy practice acts, federal DEA regulations, and all BlinkRx corporate policies
  • Oversee proper handling, documentation, and destruction of PHI-containing records and materials in alignment with privacy protocols
  • Participate in quality assurance activities including internal audits, prescription error tracking, and near-miss reporting
  • Report adverse drug events and medication errors through established pharmacovigilance channels, when applicable
  • Maintain fulfillment area compliance standards, including proper storage of temperature-sensitive medications

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, patient services, clinical, compliance, and technology teams to drive operational and clinical improvements
  • Coordinate with the shipping and fulfillment team to resolve packaging errors, return-to-sender issues, and delivery failures affecting patient medication access
  • Provide clinical input on technology enhancements, workflow tools, and software configurations that affect the pharmacist verification or patient counseling experience
  • Participate in team huddles, quality reviews, and department meetings to support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:

Required

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
  • Active Missouri Pharmacy License in good standing with the Missouri Board of Pharmacy
  • Strong command of the English language (written and verbal); bilingual Spanish preferred for phone-based patient counseling
  • Demonstrated ability to perform high-volume prescription verification with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn pharmacy management systems, verification platforms, and internal workflow tools

Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in a mail order, specialty, retail or closed-door fulfillment pharmacy
  • Active pharmacy licensure required in home state; candidates must obtain licensure in 3 additional states from the list below within the first 9 months of hire (prior licensure in any of the following states is a plus):
    • AK, AL, AR, CA, ID, IL, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MI, MS, NE, NV, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA, WV
