As a Compounding Pharmacist, you will be primarily responsible for the compounding of non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous products, ensuring that all preparations meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. Reporting directly to the Lead Compounding Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in meeting daily compounding targets and operational metrics established by the company and the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
You will be actively involved in maintaining proper compounding practices, managing inventory, enforcing documentation protocols, and ensuring correct use and maintenance of equipment. In close partnership with the Lead Compounding Pharmacist, you will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the compounding department and ensure adherence to all internal policies and procedures. This role also involves regular collaboration with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Compliance, Operations, and Quality to support the growth, efficiency, and compliance of our compounding operations and team development.

What You'll Do:
- Collaborates with the lead compounding pharmacist to ensure day to day productivity/quality metrics are met
- Compound and supervise compounding of prescription medications. This includes mixing and packaging orders, managing inventory, and ensuring a compliant, organized working environment to ensure the safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of compounded medication
- Ensure compliance with all applicable compounding policies and procedures, and provide feedback and make suggestions for new ones as needed
- Support audits to ensure all compounding work orders are completed accurately and within a timely manner
- Support training of new compounding pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Collaborate with the PIC to ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal compounding guidelines and regulations
- Ensure good documentation practices, and that all documentation is kept accurate and up to date
- Ensure proper inventory management, including ensuring that all appropriate paperwork is reviewed and filed
- Supports the pharmacy in charge by collaborating for readiness for any inspections
- Collaborates with the schedule of compounding technicians, and ensures adequate coverage for operations
- May be asked to obtain additional non-resident pharmacist licenses to support the needs of the pharmacy
What You'll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Valid pharmacist license in state you will be working in
- Ability to work on site 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) with rotating weekends
- Extensive knowledge of USP 795, and 800 regulations
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a compounding pharmacy
- Background in sterile compounding preferred
- Ability to work in a high volume fast paced environment
- Team player with outstanding communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Schedule & Availability:
- This is a full-time role with shifts primarily scheduled Monday through Friday, plus every other Saturday. A rotation system is in place to ensure fair distribution of weekend shifts
- While we strive to maintain consistent schedules, flexibility is required, as your scheduled workdays may occasionally shift to help cover holidays, team PTO, or other staffing needs
- Advanced notice of at least two weeks will be provided for any changes to the regular schedule
- Availability is required between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM on weekdays and 8:30 AM–5:00 PM on weekends
- Please note that shift structures may be adjusted in the future based on evolving business needs
