Develop and extend in-house performance models for next-gen ARM architecture features, perform workload characterization and analysis, build automation and visualization tools, and collaborate with architects and the performance modeling community.
Arm is the industry's leading supplier of microprocessor technology, offering the widest range of microprocessor cores to address the performance, power and cost requirements for almost all application markets. Combining a vibrant ecosystem with more than 1,000 partners and over 90 billion processors shipped, our technology is at the heart of a computing and connectivity revolution that is transforming the way people live and businesses operate.
The Architecture and Technology Group (ATG) at ARM develops technologies and products for ARM's future architecture roadmap. As part of the evolution of new ARM architecture, it is imperative to conduct hardware feasibility assessment for the newly introduced architecture features. Performance analysis is an integral and crucial component of hardware feasibility that gives early insights in the benefits v/s costs for the new architecture features. The performance modeling team works alongside the lead architects to conduct early architecture exploration to refine the architecture and provide early assessment on the deployment of the architecture feature.
We are looking for a motivated individual who has experience with performance modeling and analysis. Good fundamentals in computer architecture and modeling are critical for this role.
Job Overview:
Responsibilities:
You will be working on the next-gen ARM Architecture extensions.
As part of this role, you will get be working on interesting projects related to performance modeling and analysis - like modeling a new feature in our in-house performance models, or workload characterization, or analyzing performance using novel methods, or developing tools on automation and visualization of the results.
You will be part of a horizontal performance modeling team within ATG and would work closely with the wider performance modeling community within ARM.
Required Skills and Experience :
