About the Position

The People Operations Specialist is a mid-level professional who plays a critical role in driving TEECOM’s people programs and processes that support team members globally. You’ll be instrumental in shaping a seamless and supportive employee experience across every phase of the employee lifecycle—from onboarding through development to ensuring smooth transitions during offboarding.

Working with increasing independence, you’ll manage end-to-end processes for onboarding and offboarding while serving as a reliable resource for team members and managers on People Operations matters. You’ll execute core processes with operational rigor and attention to detail while developing your expertise in HR systems, compliance, and employee lifecycle management.

Your work extends beyond task execution—you’ll create and refine documentation, identify process gaps, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enable TEECOM to scale effectively while maintaining a people-first culture that continues to be Great Place to Work certified.

Enable Seamless Team Member Transitions

Responsibilities and Expectations: Annual and Quarterly

  • Support alignment of People Operations processes and initiatives with company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Participate in performance assessments and professional development opportunities to strengthen capabilities.
  • Review and update training programs to ensure content is up-to-date, relevant, and effectively delivered; assist in developing firm-wide training programs and reference documentation on standardized procedures and operations.
  • Contribute to People Operations documentation updates by reviewing procedures, implementing improvements, and submitting pull requests to maintain accurate, accessible information.

Responsibilities and Expectations: Monthly and Biweekly

  • Conduct Stay Interviews with team members to gather feedback on their experience and identify opportunities to improve engagement and retention.
  • Facilitate Exit Interviews and prepare offboarding documentation, ensuring timely completion and smooth transitions.
  • Process essential personnel activities including promotions, transfers, bonuses, information updates, and manager changes.
  • Oversee training program assignments, track progress, and make updates to provide a consistent and effective experience.
  • Conduct onboarding checkpoints with new hires to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure smooth adjustment to their roles.
  • Monitor onboarding and offboarding tools and vendor relationships to ensure systems are effectively implemented and optimized.
  • Reconcile Bonusly recognition data with Finance to ensure accurate processing and reporting.

Responsibilities and Expectations: Weekly and Daily

  • Manage the end-to-end onboarding process, coordinating logistics, arranging training sessions, ensuring documentation completion, and maintaining clear communication.
  • Manage offboarding logistics and administrative tasks, overseeing checklists, facilitating exit processes, and providing departing employees with necessary resources.
  • Manage and monitor help tickets to ensure prompt resolution of team member inquiries related to People Operations.
  • Serve as a key resource for questions related to People Operations processes, policies, procedures, and training.
  • Maintain accurate, organized employee records across BambooHR and other systems with consistent attention to detail.
  • Provide education and coaching on People Operations processes to help team members consistently understand and apply procedures.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to gather or clarify information and ensure smooth execution of processes.
  • Participate in People Operations team meetings to provide status reports, review approaches, and align on priorities.
  • Assist with special People Operations projects under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support benefits administration, compliance activities, or other HR functions as workload demands.
  • Participate in system testing and implementation activities when new tools or platforms are introduced.
  • Attend training sessions, workshops, or professional development activities to strengthen HR knowledge.
  • Perform other relevant work as assigned to support People Operations objectives.
  • Complete employment verifications and respond to external requests for employment information.

Mentorship / Training Responsibilities

  • Mentorship: Provide indirect mentorship to anyone who asks questions or needs guidance on People Operations matters; receive guidance from senior People Operations team members on complex situations.
  • Training: Oversee training programs including content updates, assignment of training journeys, and progress tracking; assist in developing firm-wide training programs and documentation.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience in HR operations or employee lifecycle management.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in HR operations or employee lifecycle management with demonstrated capability in onboarding, offboarding, and process management.
  • Preferred: Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms; proven ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously; experience creating training content or documentation; exposure to compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of best practices in onboarding, offboarding, and other employee lifecycle activities with ability to research unfamiliar areas and apply insights to improve processes and ensure compliance.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to develop clear and well-structured process documentation aligned with company standards.
  • Experience maintaining accurate, up-to-date HR systems with attention to data security, accessibility, and operational rigor.
  • Strong problem-solving capacity to identify challenges, propose solutions, and make data-driven recommendations with sound judgment in daily decisions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in data processing and all aspects of work with flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.
  • Strong proficiency in HR Information Systems (BambooHR or similar), Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Workspace, and Slack; familiarity with GitHub for documentation management — plus.
  • Industry certifications preferred but not required:
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) — preferred
  • SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) — preferred
  • Additional benefits or compliance certifications — plus
