You’ll make it easier for employees and leaders to navigate complex processes, stay compliant, and focus on doing their best work.
You will be the trusted partner who ensures every team member has the support and resources needed to start and thrive with Tilt. Whether navigating complex visa processes, staying aligned with evolving compliance standards, or fostering a seamless and secure employment experience, you will thoughtfully guide employees through their Tilt journey.
Our ideal candidate will be based in either the US' PST time zone or Australia.

  • Manage Global Mobility Program (25%): Oversee global immigration processes including U.S. work visas and permanent residence sponsorship. Coordinate immigration case management, partnering with outside counsel to meet Department of Labor and USCIS requirements. Provide guidance on immigration policies for international assignments and monitor regulatory changes across global entities.

  • Reporting & Metrics (20%): Maintain HRIS, prepare reports, and analyze key HR metrics that inform decision-making around employee engagement, retention, and performance.

  • Ensure Employment Law & Regulatory Compliance (15%): Monitor and interpret federal, state, and international labor laws to maintain compliance with wage and hour rules, anti-discrimination laws, leave entitlements, and employee protections. Collaborate with Legal to draft and implement compliant employment agreements and conduct audits of HR practices and records to uphold regulatory standards.

  • Oversee Benefits & Leave Compliance (15%): Manage compliance with benefits regulations and statutory leave programs such as FMLA and state Paid Family Leave. Collaborate with vendors and payroll to ensure all processes meet legal and policy requirements.

Why you're a great fit
  • You’re a rapid learner who quickly understands how complex compliance and immigration frameworks operate—and you excel at helping others navigate them smoothly

  • You have a keen eye for detail, knowing that thoroughness in policies and processes drives meaningful impact

  • You anticipate challenges and needs before they arise, ensuring proactive solutions for your team and employees

  • You understand what excellence means in managing global programs, having contributed to compliance or immigration initiatives supporting global teams

  • You are resourceful, you know when to build, when to buy, when to use AI, and when to go without when planning and executing compliance initiatives

Your experience likely includes:
  • A degree in Business Administration, Management, Human Resources, or a similar field

  • 2+ years HR generalist experience, preferably in a multinational environment

  • Knowledge of U.S. labor and employment laws, global HR compliance, and global immigration regulations is a plus

  • Experience contributing to HR policies, managing audits, and collaborating with legal counsel

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Experience with Rippling HRIS a plus

  • Eagerness to learn new tools and workplace systems, including Rippling, Ashby, Linear or other project management tools, and emerging AI-powered resources

Our Interview Process
  1. Initial recruiter call: A conversation to learn about your experience and what you're looking for in your next role.

  2. Hiring Manager Interview: A conversation to learn about your experience, your approach to solving challenges and unlocking performance in others, and what you're looking for in your next role.

  3. Partner Panel: Meet with colleagues you’d work closely with to discuss your expertise and problem-solving approach through real-world scenarios.

  4. Leadership Conversation: A final conversation with our Head of People to discuss our mission and how you could contribute to it (and how we can help you achieve your career goals along the way).

Don’t meet every qualification? We care about potential over your past. If you're bringing ambition and drive to what we're building, we want to hear from you.

What you'll get at Tilt
  • Virtual-first teamwork: The Tilt team is collaborating across 14 countries, 12 time zones, and counting. You’ll get started with a WFH office reimbursement.

  • Competitive pay: We're big on potential, and it's reflected in our competitive compensation packages and generous equity.

  • Complete support: Find flexible health plans at every premium level, and substantial subsidies that stand up to global standards.

  • Visibility is yours: You can count on direct exposure to our leadership team — we’re a team where good ideas travel quickly.

  • Paid global onsites: Magic happens IRL: we gather twice yearly to reconnect over shared meals or kayaking adventures. (We’ve visited Vail, San Diego, and Mexico City, to name a few.)

  • Impact is recognized: Growth opportunities follow your contributions, not rigid promotion timelines.

The Tilt Way

We're looking for people who chase excellence and impact. Those who stand behind their work, celebrating the wins and learning from the missteps equally. We foster an environment where every voice is valued and mutual respect is non-negotiable — brilliant jerks need not apply. We're in this together, working to expand access to fair credit and prove that people are incredible. When you join us, it's not just another day at the [virtual] office, you're helping millions of hardworking people reach better financial futures.

You’re pushing ahead in your career? We can get behind that. Join us in building the credit system that people deserve.
