Role: Recruiter & People Operations Specialist
Base Salary: $95,000 - $110,000
We're looking for a People Operations Specialist to lead recruiting across Blackthorn while also supporting core people operations work. You'll own the full-cycle hiring process for open roles company-wide — from intake through offer — while partnering with the VP of People Operations on onboarding, HR systems, and day-to-day operational support. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role suited to someone who enjoys both the relationship-driven work of recruiting and the precision of operational execution.
What you’ll doFull-Cycle Recruiting
- Own the end-to-end recruiting process for roles across the company, from intake calls with hiring managers through offer negotiation.
- Source, screen, and manage candidate pipelines using our ATS, partnering closely with hiring managers on role requirements and timelines.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate experience at every stage of the process.
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness) and report regularly to leadership.
People Operations Support
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth experience for new hires and departing employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee questions on policies and programs.
- Help maintain compliance with employment law across the states (and potentially countries) where Blackthorn has employees.
Process & Systems Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline recruiting and HR operational workflows.
- Partner with the VP of People Operations on building scalable people processes as the company grows.
- 3–5+ years of experience in recruiting, with some HR or people operations exposure.
- Proven ability to manage full-cycle recruiting independently, including sourcing, screening, and closing candidates.
- Comfortable working with HRIS and ATS tools.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communicator who can build trust with hiring managers and candidates alike.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a remote-first, distributed team.
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting for a B2B SaaS or Salesforce ecosystem company.
- Familiarity with PEOs or multi-state employment compliance.
