This role provides support to The People Office, accounting, finance and operations teams and reports to the firm’s Controller.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the Payroll process end to end including off-cycle processing for bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll
- Manage payroll files and other record keeping items; process, post and edit new hires
- Provide assistance with troubleshooting and resolving employee pay questions/discrepancies
- Upload payroll journal entries and ensure that General Ledger coding is accurate
- Account reconciliation for payroll processed deductions
- Reviewing and processing of State Tax payments
- State registrations for payroll tax accounts
- Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
- Analyze current workflow processes and offer up improvement suggestions
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in multi-state Payroll role
- Ideally, competency working with UKG payroll system, PlanSource, and NetSuite.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good listening and communication skills
- Willing to grow and take on additional responsibilities when needed and support other team members
Pay Transparency: Pathstone’s expected starting base compensation range for the position as of the time of this posting is $65,000 - $70,000 per year. The actual base compensation selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) experience, education, specialty and training. The successful candidate(s) may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus award.
