Role Description
The Payroll Operations Manager is a critical, technical leadership role responsible for the configuration, optimization, and day-to-day operations of our core Payroll and HR Information Systems (HRIS). This role serves as the primary technical subject matter expert at the intersection of Payroll, HR, and Finance, ensuring system accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all platforms and integrations. The Manager will drive system enhancements, manage vendor data exchanges, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support a timely and accurate payroll process.
In this role, you'll:
- Design and evolve a scalable, secure, and flexible access network architecture for residential and commercial services across GPON/XGS-PON, Ethernet, and emerging technologies.
- Own architectural decisions and documentation for access systems and their integration with core, OSS/BSS, and operational tools.
- Partner with Network Operations to define service observability, troubleshoot issues, and support fault/performance management strategies.
- Collaborate across product, software, and engineering teams to enable advanced enterprise offerings (e.g., DIA, L2/L3 VPNs, transport).
- Contribute to the planning and qualification of next-generation platforms, including 25G/50G/100G PON systems and integrated edge solutions.
At a minimum, we'd like you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years in access network design and operations.
- Experience with PON technologies (GPON, XGS-PON, 25G/50G PON), Ethernet access, and aggregation networks.
- Familiarity with IP/MPLS protocols (OSPF, BGP, Segment Routing) and network virtualization (SDN/NFV).
- Experience with monitoring and telemetry tools (NetFlow, SNMP, syslog) and packet-level analysis (Wireshark, TCPdump).
It's preferred if you have:
- Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Experience designing or operating large-scale FTTH or hybrid fiber-wireless networks.
- Experience in access network design and operations at an internet service provider.
- Hands-on experience with OLT/ONT platforms from vendors such as Adtran, Nokia, and/or Ciena.
- Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems and orchestration tools (e.g., Netcracker, Altiplano, Ansible).
- Experience with access network automation frameworks and policy-driven configuration management.
- Knowledge of network disaggregation, open standards (BBF, ONF), and open-source components.
- Cross-functional communication and documentation skills.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $121,600 - $177,800 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
