You'll ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing while driving reconciliation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
In this high-impact role, you’ll collaborate with Finance, HR, Legal, and Leadership to ensure our systems stay compliant, efficient, and transparent. Your work will keep our people paid and our operations running smoothly, and you’ll be the go-to expert when it comes to all things payroll.

What you’ll do:
📋 Run Payroll Operations Across Entities
- Manage end-to-end payroll for 500+ employees across three entities (bi-weekly and monthly cycles)
- Maintain accurate records for salary changes, bonuses, benefits, deductions, and tax details
- Lead reconciliation between HRIS (Rippling), accounting (Campfire), and payroll systems
✅ Ensure Compliance & Reporting
- Stay up-to-date on multi-state payroll regulations and ensure full legal compliance
- Support year-end activities including W-2s, 941s, and audit reporting
- Act as the internal SME for payroll audits, employee inquiries, and compliance questions
📈 Partner Cross-Functionally
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to manage equity activity via Carta (grants, terminations, reports)
- Provide monthly variance analysis and insights to support Finance reporting
- Support process improvements and system transitions or upgrades
What you’ll need to succeed: 🌱
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance with a deep focus on payroll
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Expertise in payroll systems — Rippling experience highly preferred
- Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills
Bonus Points:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus
- Experience with MSO or P.C. org structures is a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare industry standards
- Taking a company from start-up to IPO

The salary range for this position is $140,000-160,000, which is dependent on experience and location.
