What you'll do:
Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:
  • Take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll cycle using Rippling, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage all payroll-related tasks, including processing new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries regarding payroll, providing timely and clear responses.
  • Prepare and process payroll reports as needed for audits, finance, and management.
HRIS & Data Integrity:
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of our employee data by diligently entering, updating, and managing all digital and electronic employee records within our HRIS system (Rippling).
  • Process all employee lifecycle changes in the system, including promotions, transfers, and personal information updates.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Benefits Administration:
  • Assist in the administration of all employee benefits and insurance programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k).
  • Support employees during the new hire enrollment and annual open enrollment processes.
  • Act as a resource for employees, answering their questions about benefits plans and enrollment procedures.
  • Maintain and update provider databases with employee enrollment and change information.
  • Assist with reconciling and verifying monthly insurance billing statements.

What you need:
  • Required: 2+ years of direct experience processing payroll for a multi-state organization. 
  • Required: Hands-on experience with a modern HRIS/payroll platform; strong proficiency with Rippling is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of payroll principles, wage and hour laws, and federal and state regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in benefits administration is a significant plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
  • High degree of accountability and independence in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
