We are seeking a Payments Operations Program Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives that ensure the smooth operation and evolution of Storable’s integrated payments platform. This role sits at the center of multi-team coordination, change management, and operational execution, serving as a bridge between Payments, Product, Engineering, Finance, and external partners. The ideal candidate thrives on translating business needs into operational workflows, guiding teams through change, and ensuring that new products and processes are seamlessly integrated into day-to-day operations while also being an individual contributor in day-to-day tasks.
What you will do every day
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across Payments, Product, Engineering, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of new processes, pricing structures, and product changes.
- Assist with day-to-day operational work in the payment ops team
- Lead structured change management efforts, including planning, communication, and execution strategies that minimize disruption and maximize adoption of new workflows.
- Serve as the central point of coordination for adapting new products and features into existing operational frameworks, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical execution.
- Report, track, and implement improvements that maximize revenue, operational efficiency, and timely issue resolution.
- Partner closely with our Product team and external payments providers to resolve payment issues, track partner changes, and ensure smooth integrations.
- Lead weekly stakeholder meetings, driving alignment and accountability for issue resolution and project progress.
- Recommend, scope, and implement process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, measurability, and scalability of day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Finance to review and analyze the payments portfolio across all Storable payment providers.
- Project manage and coordinate pricing changes or other large-scale initiatives, ensuring timely execution across all impacted teams.
- Keep Payments leadership regularly informed of critical issues and progress updates, and communicate proactively with internal customers about changes or escalations.
- Act as an escalation point for payment partner issues, driving resolution while balancing vendor management and internal team needs.
- Develop and maintain internal and external policies, standards, processes, and templates for vendor engagement and cross-team collaboration.
- Troubleshoot vendor issues and lead resolution efforts related to vendor policies, contracts, requirements, and communications.
- 5+ years of relevant payments experience, ideally in an operational or project management capacity.
- Proven ability to drive cross-team projects, aligning multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
- Experience managing change management processes and introducing new products or systems into existing operational environments.
- Deep understanding of the electronic payments ecosystem with emphasis on card processing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute on objectives with minimal oversight.
- Leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with payments pricing structures and provider reporting formats.
- Salesforce experience.
- Familiarity with back-office operations of providers such as Worldpay, Stripe, etc.
- Experience working at an ISO or Payment Facilitator.
