What You'll Do:
Own the Daily Payment Lifecycle: Be the primary point of contact for the end-to-end operational execution of payment processing across all supported channels (e.g., credit/debit cards, ACH, digital wallets, wire transfers).
Operational Monitoring and Incident Response: Proactively monitor payment system performance, identify transaction failures, reconcile discrepancies, and rapidly troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents in partnership with Engineering and Finance teams.
Compliance and Risk Management: Execute daily operational controls, including transaction monitoring and reporting, to ensure compliance with relevant payment network rules (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) and regulatory standards (e.g., AML, KYC).
Process Optimization and Efficiency: Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the payment flow and drive projects to automate manual tasks, improve processing speed, and reduce overall operational costs.
Manage Key Payment Relationships: Assist in managing relationships and operational communications with third-party payment providers, processors, acquiring banks, and payment gateways.
Reporting and Analysis: Generate detailed operational reports on key metrics such as authorization rates, chargeback volumes, fraud trends, and settlement timing, providing actionable insights to leadership.
Who You Are:
Experience: 2 to 7 years of professional experience specifically within the Payments Industry (e.g., FinTech, acquiring banks, payment processors, or a merchant with a high-volume payment function).
Payments Expertise: Must possess a strong foundational understanding of payment methodologies, including authorization, clearing, and settlement for card networks, as well as an understanding of alternative payment methods (e.g., ACH/SEPA/RTP).
Technical Acumen: Ability to leverage internal tools, run basic SQL queries (or similar data extraction methods), and analyze large datasets to identify operational trends and root causes of payment failures.
