About our Company

Government’s biggest challenges — housing and homelessness, public health, emergency response — don’t get solved inside a single agency. Work happens across dozens of organizations that often struggle to coordinate, share information, and act in real time.

Civic Roundtable is an AI-powered government operations platform that helps public servants do exactly that. We give wide networks of agencies and partner organizations the tools to consolidate information, coordinate mission-critical work, and move faster together so the people on the frontlines of public problems have what they need to serve their communities. Trusted by 4,000+ organizations across all 50 states, Civic Roundtable emerged from the Harvard Innovation Labs and is backed by General Catalyst.

About the Role

As Partnerships Manager, you will work directly with Civic Roundtable’s founders to build one of the company’s most important growth motions: the external relationships, market insights, and partnership channels that open doors for Civic Roundtable.

Government’s biggest challenges are solved through networks. The same is true for our go-to-market strategy. Many of our highest-potential opportunities sit at the intersection of customers, partners, consultants, associations, universities, nonprofits, systems integrators, resellers, and public-sector leaders. These relationships can generate revenue, unlock access, create referrals, strengthen our brand, inform product strategy, and help us enter new markets.

Your job will be to turn those relationships into a repeatable growth engine. You will get into the field, build trust with senior stakeholders, understand what agencies and partners need, represent Civic Roundtable with confidence, and work across sales, product, deployments, marketing, and leadership to turn promising conversations into concrete opportunities.

This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role for someone who loves relationship- building, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. We are looking for a utility player who can bring structure to ambiguity, connect dots across organizations, demo the product credibly, and help a fast-growing company scale its market presence without losing the trust and mission orientation that make Civic Roundtable special.

What Your First 6 Months Could Look Like

Launch and own high-priority initiatives, such as:

  • Build and execute go-to-market plans for priority federal agencies, institutional partners, and new sectors where Civic Roundtable should have a stronger presence.
  • Represent Civic Roundtable at conferences, convenings, partner meetings, and customer conversations, building relationships that create new opportunities for the company.
  • Map our partnership ecosystem across associations, universities, nonprofits, consultants, resellers, VARs, systems integrators, and product collaborators, with a clear view of where each relationship can create value.
  • Create lightweight systems for tracking priority stakeholders, opportunities, partner activity, relationship history, and next steps.
  • Partner with product and deployments to bring market feedback back into the company, helping us understand what agencies need, how partners want to work with us, and where our product or packaging should evolve.
  • Help turn founder-led relationships into scalable company motions by building playbooks, operating rhythms, and partnership models the broader team can use.

Key Responsibilities

Shape Go-to-Market Strategy and Open Doors

  • Develop and execute strategies for entering priority markets across federal, state, and local government.
  • Identify the agencies, leaders, intermediaries, partners, and events that matter most in each market, and build practical plans to reach them.
  • Create new opportunities for Civic Roundtable by building relationships with senior public-sector stakeholders, institutional partners, consultants, and ecosystem leaders.
  • Represent Civic Roundtable externally, including leading introductory conversations, delivering product demos, and following up with clear next steps.
  • Work with sales and leadership to move promising relationships from warm conversation to qualified opportunity, partnership, pilot, or strategic initiative.

Build Our Partnership Ecosystem

  • Build and manage relationships with associations, universities, nonprofits, foundations, consultants, advisors, resellers, VARs, systems integrators, and other strategic collaborators.
  • Evaluate partnership opportunities based on their potential to drive revenue, referrals, market access, services opportunities, product differentiation, brand credibility, or long-term strategic value.
  • Help design repeatable partnership models, including referral partnerships, channel partnerships, teaming relationships, joint offerings, thought-leadership collaborations, and product-aligned partnerships.
  • Coordinate with marketing and leadership on events, convenings, webinars, executive roundtables, and other moments that help Civic Roundtable build trust in priority markets.
  • Maintain a clear view of which partners matter, why they matter, and what actions will move each relationship forward.

Bring Market Insight Back Into the Company

  • Listen closely to agencies, partners, and public-sector leaders to understand what they need, where current tools fall short, and where Civic Roundtable can create differentiated value.
  • Partner with product, deployments, and leadership to translate external feedback into sharper positioning, better demos, stronger solution design, and future product opportunities.
  • Connect the dots between what the market is asking for and what Civic Roundtable should build, package, or prioritize next.
  1. Surface clear recommendations to leadership on new markets, product opportunities, partnership models, and strategic bets worth pursuing.

Build Systems That Help Us Scale

  • Create systems for tracking strategic relationships, market maps, stakeholder networks, opportunities, next steps, and relationship history.
  • Develop playbooks, templates, and internal documentation that make partnership development and go-to-market execution more repeatable as the company grows.
  • Coordinate across sales, deployments, marketing, product, and leadership to ensure high-priority external relationships are well-managed and tied to company goals.
  • Research markets, sectors, organizations, funding streams, procurement paths, and emerging opportunities that inform Civic Roundtable’s growth strategy.

About You

  • Communicate exceptionally well, both in writing and in person
  • Are intellectually curious and enjoy understanding how organizations, networks, and markets operate
  • Care about improving how government serves communities

We’re hoping you have:

  • 3–7 years of experience in partnerships, business development, consulting, startups, or government
  • Experience managing complex projects or stakeholder relationships that span multiple teams or organizations
  • Comfort working directly with founders, executives, and senior external stakeholders — especially in the public sector
  • A track record of building new initiatives, programs, or processes in environments with limited structure
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently drive work forward
  • Preference for Washington D.C. location
