About the Role:

As a Partner Success Manager, you'll be a critical player in expanding Gusto's reach within the accounting market, specifically focusing on our largest and most strategic accounting partners. This isn't just a support role; it's an opportunity to shape our enterprise partner success motion, working closely with leadership to define best practices and drive significant growth. Your work will directly impact how prominent accounting firms leverage technology to better serve their diverse client base.

You'll engage with C-level executives, senior practice managers, and other key stakeholders at leading accounting firms, focusing on large regional and national players. You'll act as a strategic advisor, deeply understanding their unique challenges and demonstrating how GustoPro can address those needs, boost efficiency, enhance client service offerings, and drive firm growth. We're looking for a true "builder" – someone who's excited to wear multiple hats, contribute to the development of systems and processes, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to adapt and pivot when needed is essential.

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Build deep relationships with key stakeholders at large accounting firms to ensure they maximize GustoPro's value.
  • Manage onboarding and provide tailored training to partners at large firms, focusing on their specific needs and workflows.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase GustoPro adoption and engagement across large accounting firms. This includes collaborating with partner firms to develop co-branded content, case studies, and other resources that showcase successful GustoPro implementations and best practices.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leadership at prominent firms on strategically leveraging GustoPro for operational efficiency and growth.
  • Partner closely with the Enterprise Account Management team to develop joint success plans for shared clients, ensuring seamless onboarding, ongoing support, and identification of expansion opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to address partner needs and provide feedback on product development.
  • Track key metrics for large firm partnerships and develop strategies to optimize performance and ROI.
  • Represent the voice of GustoPro partners within Gusto, ensuring their feedback influences product and service improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of tailored partner programs for large accounting firms to enhance success and strengthen the GustoPro ecosystem.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of the accounting industry, regulations, and GustoPro's evolving features.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 6+ years total work experience in partner management, account management, or customer success, with a strong focus on enterprise clients.
  • 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role.
  • 2+ years of experience working closely with sales teams is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the accounting firm landscape, including their business models, challenges, and technology needs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills – you're a relationship builder!
  • Empathic communication (especially listening) skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities – you're a strategic thinker.
  • Ability to quickly learn our product and become a credible advisor to partners.
  • Work collaboratively but autonomously: asking for what you need, but not expecting micromanagement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embrace change.
  • Experience with CRM and Success software (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau) and Learning Management Systems
  • A "builder" mentality – excited to help us shape the future of partner success at Gusto.

Our target on-target earnings (OTE) compensation for this role is $145,000/yr to $178,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $171,000/yr to $209,000/yr for San Francisco & New York. This OTE is structured with a target 80% base pay and 20% commission pay with an uncapped commission structure. Final offer amounts and the exact base/commission split are determined by multiple factors including candidate location, experience, and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

Gusto has physical office spaces in Denver, San Francisco, and New York City. Note: The San Francisco office expectations encompass both the San Francisco and San Jose metro areas.

When approved to work from a location other than a Gusto office, a secure, reliable, and consistent internet connection is required.
