MDC is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven individual to lead and scale our partnership ecosystem, which spans fintech collaborations, strategic alliances, and sponsor engagements.
This role is committed to relationship management and strategic coordination, supporting initiatives that connect credit unions, fintechs, and innovation partners.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing, events, and leadership while managing high-value relationships with sponsors and partners. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and thrives in a fast-moving environment where visibility and collaboration are key.

Key Responsibilities

Partner & Sponsor Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager and point of contact for key partners — including sponsors, fintechs, and strategic collaborators — ensuring goals, deliverables, and engagement plans are met.
  • Develop and execute tailored engagement strategies that deepen partner satisfaction and drive long-term collaboration.
  • Ensure sponsorship deliverables are executed such as branding exposure, event participation, marketing integrations, and recognition opportunities.
  • Conduct regular partner check-ins, capture feedback, and coordinate follow-up actions to strengthen partner success and retention.
  • Ensure coordination, scheduling, execution, and follow up for all partner touchpoints.  Create pre-call materials (agenda, updates, data, etc.) and post-call follow up.

Program & Event Logistics

  • Oversee partner-facing logistics for events, webinars, owner meetings, and executive sessions, ensuring sponsor visibility and value delivery.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to align communications, campaigns, and collateral with partnership commitments.
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure sponsor activation is coordinated and communicated.
  • Track timelines, deliverables, and communications across multiple initiatives to ensure seamless execution.

Strategic Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure partnership activities align with broader organizational goals and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Identify and cultivate new sponsorship and partnership opportunities that expand our ecosystem and create mutual value.
  • Support leadership in executing and providing feedback on sponsorship tiers, partnership frameworks, and engagement reports.
  • Work closely with marketing, events, owner engagement, projects and programs to ensure owners and partners receive maximum value of mutually beneficial relationships.

Market Awareness & Relationship Insights

  • Monitor fintech and credit union trends to identify potential partners and emerging opportunities.
  • Surface insights and recommendations that inform partnership strategy and strengthen engagement efforts.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in partnerships, sponsorships, and/or business development.
  • Proven success in managing multiple external relationships with professionalism, empathy, and follow-through.
  • Excellent communicator — clear, credible, and engaging across meetings, calls, and written communication.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of relationship-building, sponsor engagement, and stakeholder management best practices.

What This Role Offers

  • Direct ownership of relationships across strategic partners, sponsors, and project partners.
  • A visible role in shaping and expanding a growing partnership and sponsorship ecosystem.
  • Opportunities to design and enhance engagement frameworks that drive measurable partner value.
  • A collaborative, mission-driven environment with strong leadership support.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with the credit union and fintech sectors.
  • Experience managing sponsorship programs, partnership deliverables, or co-marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate partnership strategy into actionable plans and results.
