The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student - Software Engineering/Cyber Security on the Cloud IAM team located in Ames, IA, you will:
Be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud security infrastructure on AWS and Microsoft Azure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and security of our cloud-based systems and data.
Your Responsibilities:• Be a technical member of an agile software team and contribute to feature delivery.• Drive automation and efficiency in cloud IAM/RBAC processes and procedures.• Identify emerging security threats and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.

What Skills You Need• Experience in at least one programming language.• Self-confident, decisive, and comfortable in ambiguous situations.• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.• Enable people by making it easy for them to do the right thing.• Fight for what is right over how things are normally done.• Experiment to learn.
What Makes You Stand Out• Experience with Python, test driven development.• Experience building and deploying applications/infrastructure in AWS or Azure.• Professional certifications related to security, AWS or Azure.• Understanding of network protocols, encryption technologies, and access control in cloud environments.• Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:• Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a Technology related discipline; others may apply.• Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university.• Graduation date of Dec 2026 or later with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
