About the RoleThe Accounts Payable Coordinator I is responsible for processing invoices, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled to the general ledger. The position requires a basic understanding of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP, and proficiency in accounting software tools and MS Excel. Additionally, the role involves providing support with audit requests and collaborating with other team members to improve financial processes and reporting.
The key responsibilities for this role include analyzing and processing invoices using 2- and 3-way matching, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring that all accounting transactions are properly recorded. The role also involves compiling financial data to assist in invoice processing, providing support to the accounts payable team, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP. Additionally, collaboration with team members is essential to improve financial processes and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Typically entry-level position with 0 - 1 years of experience.

• Basic knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Ability to compile financial data to aid in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

• Ability to provide support for audit requests.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Progress towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation:

Hourly Range:

$22.00 - $30.00
