Location: Remote – U.S. Based (Travel to Washington Metropolitan Area as needed)
Viderity is seeking a creative and dynamic Outreach Manager to develop and manage outreach, communications, and public engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in outreach, communications, or public relations, with a strong understanding of accessibility standards and public-facing communications. This is a remote position with occasional travel required to client or project sites in the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of outreach and communications strategies.
- Manage outreach campaigns and public engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure all outreach materials, digital content, and deliverables meet relevant accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA compliance).
- Develop content for websites, newsletters, press releases, social media, and other communication channels.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of outreach activities.
- Facilitate community and stakeholder meetings, workshops, and other engagement activities.
- Maintain project documentation and communication plans.
- Manage relationships with media, partners, and stakeholders.
- Support the continuous improvement of outreach processes and strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in outreach, communications, or public relations.
- Proven experience developing and managing outreach or public engagement campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.0 AA) and ability to apply them to communication products.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance (if required).
- Ability to travel to client or project sites when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a government contracting environment.
- Experience in digital communications and public information campaigns.
- Knowledge of federal communication policies and standards.
- Familiarity with content management systems, graphic design tools, and social media platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 annually
