PROJECT COORDINATOR, OUTSIDE PLANT

Department: Operations

Reports To: Director of Operations

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of fiber network construction projects across multiple markets nationwide. This position provides direct support to multiple Project Managers, acting as a central point of coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders. The Project Coordinator is responsible for managing project documentation, facilitating communication, tracking deliverables, and ensuring that all operational and administrative aspects of projects are completed accurately, on time, and in alignment with company standards. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while upholding Vero’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining project records, including reviewing for accuracy, scanning and upload to company database
  • Preparing and presenting periodic project status updates to customers (written and/or oral)
  • Coordinating site access with customers
  • Reviewing contractor deliverables, such as drawings, maps, photos and test results
  • Coordinating maintenance coverage and facilities protection through regional One-Call systems
  • Maintaining data within Vero’s Network Operations Center platform
  • Vendor invoice processing and updating capital budget records
  • Preparing service delivery documentation and close-out packages for customers
  • Manage project closeout requirements 
  • Additional Project Manager and Business Operations support on an ad hoc basis
 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 0-2 years’ work experience in a project management or coordinator role
  • Strong technical educational and work background
  • Professional demeanor and ease of interfacing with customers, suppliers and local governmental entities
  • Proactive thinker with strong work ethic
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in tandem
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Excel, Google Maps, Google Earth
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience interfacing with local permitting entities, engineering/construction companies preferred
  • BS degree in engineering, GIS, mathematics or business management preferred
 

JOB DETAILS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This role does not require travel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • This is a staff position.
  • This is an Exempt position.
  • This is a Full-Time position.
  • This is a Remote position.
  • The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday with occasional weekend availability as needed to fulfill the core duties of the role.
  • This position requires the ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods of time, using a computer and other office equipment.
  • This position requires the ability to perform fine motor tasks, such as typing or using a mouse, for extended period of time.
 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Base pay is paid at an annual salary rate. The range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 depending on experience.
  • Target annual bonus for this role is 5%.

Vero was founded in 2017 with a focus on bridging the digital divide by serving schools and libraries in unserved and underserved areas. We have also established a fiber to the premises business that directly serves residential and small business customers in underserved regions. In addition, we now serve a small subset of large business and wholesale customers - which we typically use as a springboard for our consumer focused services for underserved communities. Our management team brings decades of experience in building and operating fiber networks for various customer segments, including residential, business, and wholesale clients.
