Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for a versatile Application & Database Administrator to take on dual responsibilities in managing and supporting Oracle-based middleware systems and databases. This role involves both the installation and maintenance of Oracle Middleware systems as well as the administration of Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have experience in both areas and be able to manage complex environments efficiently. The candidate should be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills and work seamlessly in a team environment as well as independently.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with installation, configuration, and patching of Oracle WebLogic.
- Experience with middleware support on Enterprise Application Servers such as Apache Tomcat, RedHat, Solaris
- Sound understanding of Listeners and ORDS.
- Experience in following processes and procedures to standardize Database installations and configuration.
- Experience with Oracle Multitenancy including the management and maintenance of Container and Pluggable databases.
- Complete understanding of Oracle 19c Architecture and database infrastructure design
- Sound understanding of Oracle backup methodologies and their implementation via GUI as well as scripts.
- Experience with setup and scheduling of RMAN backups as well as successful database restores.
- Experience with Solaris, Red Hat Linux, and Oracle Linux Operating Systems
- Experience automating, scripting and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy utilizing Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Knowledge with Oracle Access Manager (OAM) / Oracle Internet Directory (OID) / Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
- Knowledge with Single Sign-On (SSO) concepts and the use of such concepts to configure WebLogic with SAML/2
- Experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX) Installations and Configuration for all versions 22 and above.
- Experience with application interface tools such as Java.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Sound understanding of Oracle 19c Architecture and database infrastructure design.
- Software Experience (preferred but not required):
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- ServiceNow
- Commvault
- Venafi
- Splunk
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
