• Estimated annual base pay: $82,720.00 (minimum) - $103,400.00 (midpoint) - $124,080.00 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re an Oracle Database Administrator, we have an exciting opportunity for you.  We are seeking a recent college graduate that will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and daily operation of local and enterprise Oracle and/or SQL Server databases. The Level 1 Administrator position can be based at our campuses in Rockford, IL, Niles, IL, or Fort Collins, CO - HQ, and operates with low to moderate supervision.

What You Will Be Doing 

• Installs and configures databases as required to meet business needs. Applies patches per established procedures.
• Maintains and monitors Oracle databases to ensure satisfactory performance and 24x7 availability.
• Works with application development staff, system administrators and vendors to understand new database requirements and troubleshoot problems.
• Monitors database usage and growth, and plans for adequate resources (memory, CPU, storage, etc.)
• Performs database backups following established procedures. Performs data recovery as needed. Maintains and test disaster recovery procedures for the databases as required.
• Investigates and resolves database-related failures.
• Creates test databases and refreshes as needed.
• Works with database vendor as required to procure, install and resolve issues.
• Participates on Global IT project teams as required.
• Works with server and storage administrators to ensure overall availability, security and performance of the databases and front-end systems.

What We Are Looking For 

• Bachelor’s degree - Computer Science degree
• Basic knowledge of databases, preferably on Oracle or Microsoft SQL.
• Basic Knowledge of programming languages (i.e., bash, KSH, Perl, Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Batch)
• Operational knowledge of Windows and Unix operating systems
• Ability to read and write basic t-sql and/or PLSQL scripts
