As a Product Manager for Trimble Core Hardware, with a specific focus on Trimble Optical Portfolio, you will be responsible for the roadmap, development, execution and support of Optical hardware. Acting as the bridge between our users and engineering teams, you are responsible for bringing products to life, ensuring that the products delivered aligns with the business strategy and meets the customers' expectations.
As a Core Hardware Product Manager, you will have a central and visible role, with freedom to identify and pursue opportunities to enhance the Core Hardware portfolio for the betterment of the customer. What You Will Do
You will collaborate across Trimble to identify market opportunities, define user requirements, and develop business models and go-to-market strategies for transformative solutions. The Product Manager will lead product development of Core hardware, collaborating consistently with global engineering, operations, sales and support teams to prioritize, document, and deliver successful solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Trimble to define and execute a high-value product roadmap and strategy
Liaise with go to market teams to gather customer requirements to formulate product requirements and justify project proposals
Work with research and development teams to identify key areas of technology development and evaluate market potential
Work alongside other product managers to deliver and maintain a compelling core hardware product portfolio of Optical, GNSS and Radio hardware, system components, accessories and field and office software
Take products from concept generation through to release to market. Including feature definition, prioritization and negotiation, documentation such as manuals and brochures, support product compliance, part number management, business systems integration and market launch deliverables
Manage released products through the full lifecycle, including quality control, technical support, and the sunsetting and replacement of products
Monitor the financial performance of your Core Hardware products and develop growth plans with sales and go to market teams
Represent Trimble and the Trimble Core Hardware solutions at marketing events, industry conferences, and trade shows
Expected international and domestic travel up to 20%.

Many tasks will require collaboration and cooperation with various groups that are often not under your direct control. You must be able to represent the marketing team's interest and justify the requests with these groups to achieve your desired result.
Skills and Experience:
At least 3 years of product management experience
Excellent written and verbal communications with ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
Capable of working across multiple time-zones with internal and external constituents to drive clear communication and deliver results
Fundamental understanding of financial metrics for hardware products
Experience with tools such as JIRA, DOMO, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects at the same time and provide disciplined leadership to project team members.
Effective time management and ability to work in a dynamic environment while responding to changing priorities.
Ability to translate voice of customer to product and engineering teams and key stakeholders
A self-starter and a problem solver with a positive attitude, and desire for continuous learning
Experience or exposure to sales, technical support, knowledge of additional languages are also beneficial
Able to take general guidance and apply it to other situations, working with minimal direction
A strong and demonstrated geospatial or construction surveying background with a passion for the Geospatial industry and a curiosity for understanding how our customers operate globally.
Education:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Geomatics, GIS, Cartography, Civil, Mechanical engineering, or similar

This compensation range is based on a full time schedule. Trimble reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
